Thank you guys for the reply. Sorry for the delay.

Just an update:-

It was a hassle at the airport. We had to talk to the FRRO officer at the airport and he did allow us to go, but we faced problem in the UK immigration as well.

No no, I just want to use the British Passport. But the government official said that when I am going to the UK I shall use the UK passport and when coming to India use the Indian passport as the child is a minor and does not require any formalities.

Yes, they have asked for the documents.. and I was asking if we could provide with something else, like a maternity test or some written document from the doctor. It's nearly impossible to find the documents they have asked for especially antenatal and discharge summary as the hospital has been shut...

British Overseas Passport is a specific type of passport and not relevant to your child's circumstances as your child is British by Descent. Child applies for a normal British Passport, which can take 6 to 12 months from India and you need your husbands documentation to prove your son is British. w...
