Haven't you paid IHS fee when you accepted your application? I was in a similar situation and they put me on 10years route with no right for appeal , which is not right as as you I still had 11 days to re-apply and in fact, I met all requirements, just made one mistake in financial documents. I would suggest to come to UK on the day of application. I think there is a questions if the sponsor is in UK on the day of application. If the answer will be NO it could rise more questions.

Can I ask you if you need s copy of all pages of sponsor's passport?
I have extended my visa and they only asked the evidence of British citizen, either passport or birth certificate. My friend is in process now and she asked to provide cope of all pages of her husband.
