Re: Referees - clarification on "Relative"

Could you please clarify a couple of other things. "prove you were in the UK exactly 3 years before the day the Home Office receives your application" So, this would be the date on which I submitted the application (aka HO received the application), and not the UKVCAS/Biometric appointment date. Ple...

Re: Referees - clarification on "Relative"

For sure. But I am trying to understand what triggers this automated e-mail?

Does it mean they've received my file and a new case id has been assigned?
and I am still expected to attend the UKVCAS appointment?

Re: Referees - clarification on "Relative"

1st referee is a friend, who is also a qualified accountant and known me for more than 5 years. it's the 2nd referee, i seem to be having an issue with (cousins husband, or minister i mentioned earlier). In the declaration they have to sign, there is nothing about "known you for more than 3 years", ...

Re: Referees - clarification on "Relative"

Okay, Thanks for confirming.

in that case, I am looking to put down a church minister - but he has only known us for about 2.5 years, since we moved to our current house. Is this also not okay?

Re: Referees - clarification on "Relative"

I didn't think it was such a big deal.

Technically, even if the distant cousin is a relative, her husband (who i am putting as referee) is okay is what i thought? would really appreciate for a senior member to confirm this.

Referees - clarification on "Relative"

Can I put down the husband of a distant cousin as a referee?

Otherwise it's a bit of a hassle to go and get the signature of someone who has known me for more than 3 years. it maybe a silly question, but want to be absolutely sure (more for the sake of the referee than myself).

Thanks you.

Re: UKVCAS document upload

Got it! Thanks. Qualifying period would be last 5 years. But since no previous passports, it's not so bad. I'd have to scan in black and white to fit everything within the 6MB size limit or break into multiple pdf's. would be keen to know which option people typically take. especially if you had pre...

1) I would advise to scan all pages of the passport at least covering the qualifying period.
2) One time is enough.
Thanks. please can you clarify what you meant by "qualifying period"?

UKVCAS document upload

Can someone please advice on the following: Do we need to scan all pages of passports? or is the information pages sufficient i.e. front outer/inner covers, information page, back page? When the same document is required under multiple categories (i.e. bank statements 1-to prove salary, 2-to prove d...

Re: ILR (set M) when to apply

if you could elaborate please. i am at the final step of the application before the payment screen, i get 2 options - standard or super priority (3208 GBP). Do you mean, there will be options later for additional payments (i.e. whether to scan and upload documents myself or do this at the centre wit...

Re: ILR (set M) when to apply

Thanks.

I read some notes about scanning and uploading documents online - am I right in understanding, this is not relevant when I am going for premium service - they will scan and digitise my documents at the centre?

Re: ILR (set M) when to apply

Can I please get some advice on the super priority service: 1. Is there any additional benefit in going to Croydon or it's the same as other centres (i.e. Reading which has Digitization and Biometric capture services) 2. Providing all is straightforward with the application, Will they take biometric...

Re: ILR (set M) when to apply

For this question... "Do you own or rent your home?" My name is not in the deed or mortgage. Only my husbands name is listed. So, is "Neither own nor rent" the correct option, and then I say "My partner owns the property"? In which case, following documents are requested: Proof of property ownership...

Re: ILR (set M) when to apply

Hello, Just want to clarify the date in which I am eligible to apply: Many guidance documents say, I must complete 60 months (5 year route). And also not apply more than 28 days before your leave expires. My entry to UK was 31/08/2014. Therefore I assume I am eligible to apply 28 days before 31/08/...

It is not necessary to start a new topic with each question you have on the same application. Topics merged. Please stick to one topic.
Sorry, Thanks for letting me know.
