many thanks for you response. I can understand that there is no way I can apply for ILR for her...but is there any way I can apply for further leave to remain so she can stay for longer than 6 months?

She was here last year in June and stayed here for just over a month like 35 days. She has been here every year since 2009 and stays here for about a month every time. The first visa we applied was for 6 months, then 1 year, then 2 years and then 5 years.
