Re: British Passport for Baby

Hi all, I am actually embarrassed to admit this, but I think the Passport Agency might have asked for more information because I forgot to include my husband's passport in the application! The below is a letter I received from them: As xxzz was born in the United Kingdom after 31 December 198...

Re: British Passport for Baby

Oh boy. We just moved house and I never thought we would never that mountain of paperwork again, so threw it out. :( :( :( Would it be sufficient to get his P60s from 2010- present? A copy of his work contract? Letter from employer confirming employment dates? Bank statements from the last 5 years? ...

British Passport for Baby

Hi, My husband is Belgian - came to the UK in Oct 2010, he achieved permanent residency in Oct 2015, after living and working in the UK for 5 years. He actually applied for his DCPR in 2016, and it was issued in Sept 2016. Our son was born in Aug 2016. Since he was born in the UK, and his father had...

British Citizenship Application - Need Help, Please.

I don't even know where to begin, any advice would be great. My husband is a Belgian citizen, and came to the UK in October 2010 to start employment. He has lived and worked continuously in the UK since. He applied for his document certifying permanent residence and was issued this in September 2016...

British Passport for Baby

Hi all, I would like to apply for my child's British passport. He was born in the UK on Aug 22nd, 2016. My husband is Belgian, and first came to the UK in October 2010. Thus, by the time my son was born, my husband had already acquired permanent residency, and my baby should automatically be conside...

Re: Permanent Residence Card Refused

Hi everyone, Having further problems with the Home Office. :( To summarise this saga again, I had what I thought was a straightforward case. I am a US citizen, husband is Belgian with PR, and we have been married for 5 years, since 2012. Time to apply for my EEA4/PR visa and never had any problems w...

Re: Permanent Residence Card Refused

Thank you - I honestly feel the caseworker was at fault here. It clearly states that if I send in my husband's document certifying permanent residency I can pass on to the next section, and do not have to send in proof that he is exercising his treaty rights. What a saga... I will send off a letter ...

Re: Permanent Residence Card Refused

Thank you, GMB. That's what I thought as well!! I had read in the guidance that if I send in his current DCPR, then I would not have to send in proof that he is and has been exercising his treaty rights. Therefore, I did not send in his payslips, P60s, etc. There seems to be conflicting views on thi...

Re: Permanent Residence Card Refused

And to clarify, I sent the items mentioned above (payslips, HMRC letter, bank statements) as part of the proof that I've been living in the UK for the past 5 years... wonder if I need to submit more proof? :?:

Would they have mentioned it in the letter if they needed more evidence?

Re: Permanent Residence Card Refused

Thank you everyone, for your replies. I stand corrected on one thing - my husband received his permanent residence card in September 2016. As I was submitting his original residence card along with my application, I had thought I had read in the guidance notes that it was not necessary to send proof...

My husband has been here since 2010, working for the entire duration, and received his PR card in June 2015. ...

EEA4 Application - Documentation List

Hi all, I married my EU husband in 2012, and am about to apply for permanent residency. I am the first to admit that I hate clutter of any sort and stupidly threw away many documents which I should have held onto in support of my application. I also don't have many of the traditional documents like ...

Re: British Passport for Children

Thank you, Noajthan. Will it be sufficient for us to send in my husband's payslips and company employment certifying his work dates for the last 5 years? I take it sending in his pr card is not a good idea. And can we also enclose both applications for our sons in one envelope, since the supporting ...

Re: Permanent Residency and Naturalisation

Thank you, Ohara.

Yes, he entered the UK in October 2010 and has been living and working here continuously.

I am American, so presume he can apply for naturalisation in October 2016 (presuming that the HO deem him to have acquired 5 years of PR starting from when he first entered).
