Hi littlerr,
Is this mandatory to send a copy once your home country passport is renewed or this is just good to do ?

Re: Earliest renewal of IRP card online

has anyone used IRP renewal online even if their passport was recently renewed ? Is it that if the passport is renewed since was used for previous registration, you can't use online renewal and have to take an appointment at Burgh Quay office ?

Citizenship Applications From 2019 Pending Approval

I couldn't find the topic for those applied in 2019 and waiting for approval so creating this one. Are there more people who are in same boat as me ? I applied in March as NonEU (Stamp 1 + Stamp 4 - over 5 years working and paying taxes in Ireland) and still waiting for approval. No query asked in t...

Re: Earliest renewal of IRP card online

Does anyone know what stamp they give to a minor (16-18) studying in a secondary school in Ireland registering first time for IRP card, if the parent is on stamp 4 (non-EU) ?

Re: First time passport application

If you have a USPS tracking number, it should look like AB123456789CD. You should track it on www.anpost.ie to see if it has been delivered. Hi littlerr, I admire your knowledge in almost all the topics discussed on this Ireland forum. Not only that you are well informed but also your style of supp...

Re: E vetting and citizenship application

Perhaps I'm the other person you saw? I'm hoping it's a good sign. Better than nothing, at least. My application had not been looked at in 2 years. Can you elaborate a bit please. Is it not that vetting is their internal process so what you are asked to do ? and did you receive an email or post ? D...

Re: FOI for citizenship application

Remember. It's your right to ask for FOI under any circumstances, and it's especially important that you request for FOI if you believe your application is straightforward, as it often turned out that the delay is due to their staff making mistakes when processing your application. Thanks littlerr.

Re: FOI for citizenship application

will requesting an FOI have any bearing on the outcome of your application ? Is responding to FOI an additional workload for the staff and may annoy them to slow down your application even further ? what you guys think ? Mine is a very straight forward application but still waiting for about 2 years...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

We did not receive the approval letter but the email says that an approval letter was sent out. Also, today they have clarified via email that the application reference number in the email for statutory declaration is generic and we should use our own application number in the statutory declaration...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

I don't know and don't want to create any rumor about new approvals. I was just answering the above person's question on the contents of the email received. To avoid any confusion, It will be better to also inform if you had got the approval letter any time prior to receiving this affidavit email a...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

I think this temporary arrangement is not only for those who are approved early last year and could not be invited to the ceremony but also covers applicants who are in 'final processing stage' once the 'ceremony ready' are dealt with. I had read that in the news, link below https://www.irishtimes.c...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Happy to see some sane voices here otherwise '5121472' has taken the forum for a hostage. I got put off seeing the petition written with conjectures such as 'some nationalities are being delayed for no reason'. Background check is a critical part of naturalization application and you are asked to su...

Re: 2019 Naturalization Response Delay Discussion

I explain it by looking at more than one example. There are too many to quote them all here, but Here's a chart of average time between application and acknowledgement, by month, based on the posts to this forum. Yes, the last 2 months (May & June 2019) look lower, but this is based on just a coupl...

Re: 2019 Naturalization Response Delay Discussion

Question here, how busy the Naturalization office is now days that they are taking that long to provide reference numbers. Are you guys facing similar issues? Yes, many people are waiting for acknowledgement of their application (a reference number). The wait time for acknowledgement compared to sa...

Re: Immigration Phone Line

I just got through to them! Took about 15 tries - note that Google Voice is really helpful for this. They were quite helpful once I got through. One thing to note is that I haven't received a reference number, and they wanted to know the An Post registered mail item number (An Post #######IE etc.) ...
