My timeline: 30/10/2012: Emailed LiverpoolEuro.PassportReturns@ukba.gsi.gov.uk without form 08/11/2012: Emailed same address again without form 21/11/2012: Phoned UKBA and was told to use the form online 21/11/2012: Sent email with form to RODRequests@homeoffice.gs...

Still haven't received my passports since emailing on November 21st. I emailed them again on December 3rd and emailed again today. I spoke to a solicitor who told me he is having to use the same email venue and didn't want to charge me for such a service (very nice of him). Tomorrow I will send a le...

It seems like there is a lot of confusion with the current system and that it is very inconsistent. Soniac received her passports within 3 days of a simple email request for leisure travel, whereas hellrose, who emailed asking for passports back for emergency travel, waited over 20 days before bein...

CSI Coverage Ended - EEA2

I just thought of a potential problem with my EEA2 application.. I'm in the midst of a self-sufficient EEA2 application. I've submitted CSI coverage information but we were covered only up until end of November. We renewed my husband (EEA)'s coverage since but I am now covered through a work benefit...

Their process for returning passports has changed :( You used to be able to call them for urgent requests or just email them, now they ask that you submit a form and the new system does not seem to be working so smoothly. 1. Was your request for an emergency or leisurely travel? If for leisurely tra...

Simply put, no, you will not become illegal. I stayed and did not apply for my EEA2 long after my Family Permit expired. You didn't have to have a Family Permit in order to be here in the first place.

I can confirm that the date for stamp 1A will get refreshed every time she re-enters. I now have 3 date stamps lined up under my 1A stamp.
On my third time they didn't need to visit the back room :p

But Directive is right of course, she doesn't need a stamp in order to stay.

Re: Can I be supported by my Non-EU partner?

... As mentioned above, you'll need to have comprehensive sickness insurance in your name covering the whole family, including your working partner (regardless of whether her work package includes health insurance) and children. So the health insurance coverage I receive through work (it includes o...

The stamp can actually say whatever, and it may be that Stamp 1A does say that. But you entered on the basis of the European rules. Are you Canadian? Yes I am Canadian. Born in South Korea but I've been Canadian for a while now. This is stamp Code 1A (see comprehensive guidance page 40). It says Le...

I'm so very happy to be able to say I received my CoA today :) I went through so much trouble for this damn piece of paper, it felt anti-climatic to open a piece of mail that I thought was just a bank statement but it turned out it was so much more. It's a big weight off my shoulders!! I applied Oct...

I'd like to add that since then I've travelled twice outside UK without Family Permit / Residence Card / CoA. I had to do this because I had to travel for work unfortunately. Each time I re-entered they renewed the stamp. Both times I got a lot of questions and they gave me a rather hard time in th...

Yes I had a return flight returning to the UK, I was never questioned in regards to my motives for flying.
I checked in online for Air Canada.

EDIT: Having read Jambo's question again, no I didn't have another flight booked to Canada. Just the return flight to UK.

I re-entered with expired Family Permit (non-VISA national)

I thought I'd share my story because a lot of people are hesitant about travelling without a Family Permit or Residence Card (as I was) simply because we don't know what to expect. Background: I had received a Family Permit previously but it had expired 9 months ago. I'd started the process of apply...

If this is true it would make sense that we've not provided enough evidence, as I only sent in statements from the German bank account.

But it would be nice if this requirement was outlined somewhere.

Jambo, thank you for the reassurance. That's certainly what it feels like they did. I will go ahead and book my flight. Englandd, the wording was pretty much a copy/paste of the guidelines in the application form and not specific to my application at all. I would type it all out but I think Jambo is...

EEA2 - Insufficient evidence and need to travel

I am Canadian and my husband is German. I applied for a residence card in April, never recieved a CoA. When I asked for the passports back I received back my whole package including a letter dated June 20th (the day I asked for my passports back). The letter states that the "application requires add...

EEA2 self-sufficient bank statements

Sorry if this seems like a silly question - How recent do the bank statements need to be to prove that EU national is exercising treaty rights? I am applying for RC. My husband is German and we've been living in UK for 5 months now. We have bank statements from 5-6 months ago and I'd rather not pay ...

You're right fysicus, I just could not afford to take any chances what so ever and I had the documents so I thought why not.

Still, good for others to know they don't need so much.
