Hello My mother's applied for a regular visa from the Ukraine, and has attended the visa center on 11 May. There are no news yet, and logging in and seeing the application status, one can only see the application complete. Is there anywhere that one can see the actual decision? No email has reached ...

Re: IELTS after 6 April 2015

After reading these exchanges I am confused. She plans to take the IELTS Academic on April 18 at Lewisham and Southwark College, and we would apply for naturalisation as soon as she gets the IELTS results. The requirement is listed only as equivalent to B1 level speaking and listening. I assume this...

language requirement

I have obtained citizenship recently. My wife would apply soon, she currently has ILR. Her bachelors degree is from the Ukraine, but she has worked here as a teacher assistant for 6 years in primary schools. Does the English language requirement remain? Which IELTS test satisfies the requirement? Re...

Re: Naturalisation questions

Here are a few more questions: 1. Is the life in the UK test from 28 sep 2013 still valid now? 2. I hold a Masters degree from the London school of economics in 2002. It was obviously taught in English. Does that satisfy the language requirement? This is the list of items I would send: 1. Form, sign...

Naturalisation questions

I have ILR since Oct13. I passed the life in the UK test in sep13. On the first week of nov14, if possible, I will apply for naturalisation as a british citizen. Is the life in the UK test still valid after a year? I hold a Masters degree from the London school of economics in 2002. It was obviously...

Re: 6month Family visitor visa (not immigration)

thank you. As it turns out, she did receive the rejection letter. Reason one was the "6 months - 5 days". Was definitely not trying to be too smart with this, it was our natural way of expressing it. We will put 175 days this time. Reason 2 was that she earned only GPB50, but for this, i don't see w...

Re: 6month Family visitor visa (not immigration)

I will just go ahead and ask. Me and my wife are both non EU citizens, we both have ILR, our son has a UK passport. My mother-in-law in Ukraine has successfully obtained family visitor/tourist visa 3 times over the past 6 years. Last time she was here was in Oct 2011. Her last application, as usual,...

those rules don't say when the 12month period starts from. I would consider in her case that the period starts 04/06/2010 in which case it finishes 04/06/2011 and so she would not have spent more than 6months in that period. Then in the period 04/06/2011 to 04/06/2012 it would be less than 180days. ...
