Re: solicitor cost to lodge an appeal

For the appeal, you need to indicate the very pressing and unavoidable circumstances which compelled her to remain outside the UK. The fact that she has not established any type of life or links in the UK, other than your remittances to her in her own country (which can easily continue to be sent),...

Re: solicitor cost to lodge an appeal

The reason for refusal is that she spent more time outside UK than here. She came here on an elderly dependant ILE but only spent 10 months in the UK. Then she returned home and it's been just over two years, she still there. Hence she applied to returning resident which was refused. ECO accept she ...

Re: solicitor cost to lodge an appeal

Thanks for your reply. I'm still in two minds about getting a solicitor. Is it worth going for a paper hearing rather than an oral hearing? I don't think I can sit through another oral hearing, long story! I know everyone advise against paper hearing but I'd like to particularly hear from paper appe...

solicitor cost to lodge an appeal

My mother in law's returning resident visa has been refused. Is it possible to ask for ECO review without going through appeal procedure? If we have to go through appeal procedure to get the ECO review then we'll ask for paper hearing rather than an oral hearing. It is due to the cost of the oral he...

Re: ILE holder away for 2 yrs. returning resident?

Thanks Vinny for your link. very useful. We thought of bringing her over when we visited her last time, without the returning resident visa but I never heard of it approved by ECO at the airport. ECO usually send the person straight back and advised to apply for returning resident. It might be diffi...

ILE holder away for 2 yrs. returning resident?

My mother in law has an ILE (Indefinite Leave to Enter) as an elderly dependent and stayed in the UK for 10 months, this was just over 2 years ago. She went back home for a break when the winter starts here and did not come back (long story! she fell ill then we couldn't go back to bring her back, d...

Hi All, Has any body applied for non-acquisition of British citizenship recently? If so, how long did you have to wait to get the confirmation letter? We applied about 3 weeks ago, received the acknowledgement last week, the payment has been taken off the bank too but haven't received the confirmati...

There are two main things going to be against you.. 1. father's pension. ECO might argue that they are not mainly or wholly financially depends on you. 2. Having a daughter living in the same country as them and possibly other relatives (parent's siblings, cousins, aunties, uncles, etc) too. Best to...

If ECM overturn the original decision and decide to issue the visa the BHC will contact the visa applicant and asked to submit the passport. If ECM did not over turn their decision and decide to go with appeal they would sent a bundle and a ECM review letter to the AIT. The AIT will then write to yo...

ECM rarely over turn their original decision but I know cases where it was over turned after ECM review. Look into the following UKBA site to know all about appeals and time frames, etc... http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ecg/appeals/aplprocedures#22288514 It is hard to say how long ECM will take to rev...

She was told by the VFS staff in the counter where she submitted the application. I think it is the VFS staff pulling her leg.
I guess she will just have to wait for few months to find out.

Friend of mine applied for a spouse visa in Chennai, India three weeks ago. She was told by VFS staff at the time that she would hear from them within 15 DAYS if it was going to be refused. If she DOESN'T hear from them within 15 days then that's good news and her visa will be issued in 3 months tim...

1. yes, she can as long as she is travelling with your dad.
2. They'll have to submit seperate applications and pay the visa fee for each person.
3. No. There is no need for that.

It is the hardest visa to get plus the visa fee is £1814.

Good luck.

We only photocopy and certified the relevant pages - the main page and the pages had visa stamps on it. I think it cost us £5.00 per page.

No harm in includes your son's passport copy.

You can contact the embassy and asked for the status of her visa application. Tell them you had a letter from.... stating that the respondent has withdrawn the original decision but haven't heard anything since.
