Damaged naturalisation certificate by HMPO

Hi everyone, Today I received my documents back and the envelope was folded and the certificate all creased. I sent it to them in a plastic pocket and in a hardback envelope, which was placed in another bubble envelope, so it can't have been damaged on the way to them. What's the best course of acti...

Re: Address change during pending naturalisation application

I had the same situation, no acknowledgment email. I think it's a bug in a crappy HO system. Just to be safe, I sent my details by email as well, but there was no response, so I'm hoping they update it somewhere in the background. And just to be safe, I paid for mail forwarding to my new address, a...

Address change during pending naturalisation application

Hi everyone, My naturalisation application is currently being processed but I have changed my UK address. I filled in the online form at https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk as advised my the UKVI over the phone, but have not received any confirmation email about this (the last step of the for...

Re: Referee forms photos during lockdown?

If you included your reference number and personal details it should be matched up with your application but we can't tell how things work UKVI internally. You may (or may not) receive an acknowledgement. I did ask them to confirm that they've received it as it was an attachment letter. I have stil...

Re: Mistake on naturalisation application in work history

So I realised that I enetered the end date of one of my jobs as 1/9/2020, when it's actually 1/9/2019. With my supporting documents, I did supply a letter from HMRC which shows the correct date anyway. I'm not sure what to do and I'm panicking. I already submitted my documents though the online por...

Re: Referee forms photos during lockdown?

Settled Status is the equivalent of PR and ILR, otherwise it wouldn't be mentioned. So what you're saying is that my answers are correct and no action is required? No action required - it was designed to be digital from the start. Though you can attach your approval email or reference number if you...

Re: Referee forms photos during lockdown?

I submitted my application, and then started worrying about this question: Are you either: - An EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence document - A family member of an EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence card I answered Yes. And then the next question: Wh...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

I have been a student for the whole of my qualifying period. I have translated E104 form from my home country which I intend to use as proof of CSI. Do I need to provide additional explanation regarding this - i.e. explain that it's meant to prove CSI and/or upload the Kent practice note? Or do I j...

Referee forms date

Should the referee forms be dated before or after application submission or it doesn't matter? I just had my referees sign the forms today but will submit in a couple of days. Just wondering as the declarations say that they confirm the information in my application is accurate, but I still haven't ...

Re: Referee forms photos during lockdown?

You should be ok with that picture - alternatively take a "selfie" on your phone or digital camera. Shouldn't think it's critical - it's not a passport application where they actually use your picture in the official document. What worries me is that they mention on the referee form that the photo ...

Referee forms photos during lockdown?

The only thing that stops me from submitting my application is that I don't have a passport photo taken within the last month and everything is closed so I can't get one. My last photo is from January 2020 (my appearance hasn't changed). Has anyone had any problems with using old photos? How strict ...

Re: Passport/ID question

In the referees section, where they ask "How does the referee know the applicant?", am I supposed to answer from my referee's perspective or from mine? I currently have "I met [my name] through my work...", as in quoting my referee's answer.

Re: Passport/ID question

For the previous immigration applications section, does that refer to applications made to the Home Office only, eg settled status (which I have included). Do I need to include visa applications made to other countries? If so, how would they get the information as the reference number won't mean any...

Last 10 years.
Yes, but is that all employment or UK employment only? I can see the paper AN form says UK only, but didn't really see that on the online application.

Employment history section

For the employment history section, am I asked to provide 10 years worth of employment history, or since I came to the UK. Does that only refer to employment in the UK, because I have about 2 months worth of temporary employment abroad?

Thanks!

Passport/ID question

Include passenger locator form in previous UK immigration applications section?

Re: Naturalisation application employment history

It's not an issue but you can attach a note explaining. Note you don't need to submit all the documents you have listed, P60s generally are sufficient if they cover the residency period. Thanks. I have all the payslips, but not all the P60/P45. I am very paranoid and have gathered as many documents...

Re: Naturalisation application employment history

I got a letter from HMRC detailing my past employed, as well as P60s, P45s and payslips to give as supporting documents. However, I have noticed that my HMRC record states that my current employment (part-time casual job) has ended. My employer says that I am still on payroll. Is there any need to ...
