Zimba , I have shared this below from 10 year long residency guidline: "If the applicant has been absent from the UK for more than 6 months in one period or more than 18 months in total, the application should normally be refused." where it says in one period: what does that mean, how they calculate...

i was on student visa then psw and then tier 1. i came to the UK in September 2010.

i dont want to apply ilr based on tier 1 (5 years route)

i want to apply ILR based on 10 years (in 2020)

Zimba thank you for reply. I am confused due to the fact that when i applied visa in 2014 (it was graduate entrepreneur) but on extension (we used normal form for T1 visa). Now graduate entrepreneur has been closed.

I applied Tier 1 (graduate entrepreneur) in March 2014, got extension of it in October 2018.

I am applying dependant visa for my wife now, which category i will select

1 - Tier 1 (graduate entrepreneur) dependant

or

2 - Tier 1 entrepreneur dependant

@ CR001 - I am referring to my other post (posted on 15/10/2018 in which i received Home Office email saying a package has been dispatched and i was asking is it refusal sign)

My solicitor has received it but has not yet sent to me - I will post it here, once i get it.

I was going through some old posts and came across a post in which same wording was used and the person received refusal letter next day.

Also, Home office send BRP by DX courier but the reference number provided in email is royal mail one.

I 100% agree to that correction. Now the only answer to this question is when I apply for my ILR in June 2019 and see the outcome, So I can do nothing but wait because it is unclear for out of country extension applications after withdrawing in country. I am waiting for the last 17 months, applied in March 2017, partial refund in August 2017, Interviewed in November 2017 and nothing after that. Involved MP but they sent generic response to MP, FILED complaint online but generic response from them.
