Re: Irish Citizenship On Hold

As I said earlier, there has not been one publicly known case where the minister approves a citizenship case when a court case is pending. It would be very risky to go ahead, but the decision is hers. I don’t doubt you, but how do you know this? Because it has never happened before. Don't take the ...

Stamp 6 Without Condition Irish Citizen

Few days ago I applied for Stamp a 6 Without Condition (WC) and I enclosed my original Irish Passport and Non-Irish passport, but see what the department sent to me today by post: I am directed by the minister for justice to acknowledge receipt of your application received in this division on 00/00/...

Re: Fixed charge for parking on yellow line and citizenship

Folks, I got a fixed charge of €40 from Traffic Wardens and I paid for it. I submitted citizenship application one year ago and I wonder, should I inform the department about this now or I can leave it there and they will find it when doing vetting? Nothing I can do now but would that fixed charged...

Re: Petition for UK passport e-gates to recognise Irish passport cards

They are supposed to work. But they don’t. In fact I formally requested an answer from the Border Management Unit in Dublin Airport last month and they said they should work. But when I travelled through the airport a few days later I found that they still don’t work. To be honest there is hardly a...

Re: Stamp 6 in British Passport

Stamp 6 does not have any use at all. It is merely a proof that you are a dual national when you show your non-Irish passport. Most people working in the immigration sector are in favour of just getting rid of it. If your own country's immigration has border control procedures when you leave the co...

Well even the Irish airports’ e-gates don’t recognise Irish passport cards…

then what's the essence of the e-gates? Isn't to also enjoy the free movement under the EU regulations? i don't understand. Apparently, my Irish passport cannot work for me in Ireland. Ridiculous imo.

The delays usually happen when there's something wrong with the submitted documents. Ex: Submitted picture of yourselves didn't follow the guidelines. Not saying it's the case, just an example.
Would they have processed fee if that's the case?

If it takes more thwn 6-7 weeks after payment processed send them an email. I just received my certificate this mor...
