Applying for Citizenship but issue with PPS

The biographical information behind the PPS number isn't accurate. (information that Revenue has and Dept of Social Protection). However the biographical information with INIS is accurate. What happens with a declaration of citizenship? Will they flag the discrepancy behind the PPS information and d...

Re: Naturalisation - how are years calcuated?

I'm not asking WHAT can be used for proof of address, that information is already detailed in the form.
I'm asking HOW are the years of residence calculated.

Naturalisation - how are years calcuated?

Looking at the PDF form CTZ3 and it says you need to have 3 proofs of address for each year of residency claimed. If you arrived in say June of 2019, can you claim 2019 as year 1, then 2020 as year 2 etc? Or is a year calculated like this: June 2019 through to June 2020 (Year 1). June 2020 through t...

Re: Online IRP card renewals for everybody in Dublin from 20th of Jul

My Passport was delivered registered post to INIS on Aug 6.
Unfortunately there was a bank holiday after July 28 that resulted in a small delivery delay.

Re: Online IRP card renewals for everybody in Dublin from 20th of Jul

Do people count from the date the application was submitted, or the date the passport was delivered?

Re: Online IRP card renewals for everybody in Dublin from 20th of Jul

My Stamp 4 renewal application was submitted July 28.
Still waiting, tried emailing them but got nothing back.
It's a long time to be separated from my passport.

Family based visa while living overseas?

Has anybody heard of getting a foreign Spouse a family based visa while you were living abroad? Seems all the scenarios I read about consist of the US national living in the US, applying to bring their foreign spouse in. I'm curious to find out some of the caveats we might encounter, for example Aff...

Application sent for PermRes - No word after 4 months

I sent an application (along with the cheque) for Permanent Residency back in November. Since then i've heard not one word from them. The information online suggested that I would get a confirmation from them after 3 months. Since then i've tried emailing them, ringing them, and now writing them. An...

So, we are going to send in the I-130 form, and it looks like you also need to include the G-325a Biographical form, but do you also send in the Affidavit of Support one at the same time?

Better off applying from USA?

My wife and I would really like to go to Canada. However the waiting times for a permanent visa are daunting, applying from Ireland. So, it's possible we could go move to USA and apply from there. Do you think that's worth it? I'd have to sponsor my wife to get there, and that process usually takes ...

Get married in BC. He doesn't need a visa, just proof of ID. It costs 100$ for a marriage license which can be purchased at a convenient bank. You can walk in off the street and buy one, no appointment or waiting time necessary. Book a marriage commissioner and get married in a beautiful park or bea...

How to get my wife into US, both currently living in EU

I'm a US national by birth and my wife is Irish.
We both live in Ireland and we are interested in moving to USA.
What would be the best way to do this, get her a work visa?
I've looked at the I-130 form and it seems to assume that I should be residing in the US when i file it?

Stamp 4

What can anybody tell me about Stamp 4?
I can't find an application online.
Is it something you get when you land and go through customs?
Is there an interview process?
The wikipedia article is rather cursory.

You will not be able to apply for via a EU1 application unless your Irish spouse and you have lived together abroad firstly, and your Irish spouse is therefore exercising his/her EU Treaty rights. You didnt say that this was the case. Why do you say that i wonder? I looked at the EU1 application fo...

Ok thanks this is interesting. Just a side note, you can get married in either country, but it is much easier to marry in the US. Marrying in Ireland at a MINIMUM a 3 month process. Depending on the county in the US, the most you would have is a 3-5 day waiting period between applying for the licens...

Several Questions, with a view toward Irish Citizenship

For an American, what would be the quickest and most painless path to go toward eventual irish citizenship? Please note this would be through marrying an Irish citizen . We could marry in Ireland or Beyond, which is best? If we have a civil marriage in another country, are there any that are better ...
