10 Year Visitor Visa, but passport expires in 3 years

hi,

My mom has been spending the summer with us for the last 7 years. Every year she has applies for a 6 year visa.

She would now like to apply for a 10 year visa but her passport expires in 3 years.

Can she apply for the 10 year visa with this passport?

They dont have any British ancestry.

Is there anyway they can come over as a long term visitor with an NHS surcharge or something like that?

I moved to the UK 7 years ago, my sister moved over in January. Now my parents are all alone in South Africa.

They are 62 and 65 and financially independent.

What are their options for immigration?

I applied last night and paid:
£1 012 for the application
£19 for biometrics

Today I am trying to book a biometrics appointment via ukvcas and its charging me a further £112.

Is this correct?

The referees document, just to confirm I need to stick in a picture of the applicant, i.e. the child. Not the referee...

Passport photo
On the back of the applicant’s photograph, please write their full name and date of birth. The photograph should then be glued into the space aside.
