Re: Current BRC be expires this July and waiting for naturalisation decision

Hi, Sorry I didn't get notification of your question! Did you get your application sorted out? I can't remember being asked those questions to be honest but if i were answering i would put Q2: if it's a joint bank account/bill with your name plus someone else named on the account then I'd put "Yes"....

Re: Pre Settled to Settled Status

Hi, When are hoping to come back to the UK? I don't know why you would want to cancel your application? I'm not sure that tax residency is defined in the same way as residency for immigration purposes. I know that residency for tax purposes is a lot more complicated and depends on not only length bu...

Re: Current BRC be expires this July and waiting for naturalisation decision

Also, if you applied for the EU settlement scheme you should have UKVI account to which you can link new travel documents and ID documents. I have linked my current passport and new BRC to this account. There's info about how to do that here: https://www.gov.uk/update-uk-visas-immigration-account-de...

Re: Current BRC be expires this July and waiting for naturalisation decision

Hi, While you're waiting for your decision you should be able to apply for a new Settled Status BRC using this link: https://www.gov.uk/uk-residence-card/replace. I recently applied as I switched from pre-settled to Settled status. I had about 1.5 months left on my pre-settled BRC. You'll have to go...

4) For any translated documents do you also need to provide the non-translated versions? Yes always. The translation itself has no value if you don't join the original also. Note: if they fail to get the Settlement Scheme, they won't be ever eligible to a visitor visa Cheers for your help :) , we'v...

EU Settlement Scheme Dependant Parents - proving relationship

Hi all, I'm a non-eu spouse of an EU (Irish) citizen. I want to bring my Dependant parents over to UK on the settlement scheme (I already have pre-settled status). I'm gathering all the documents together to prove my parents' relationship to me and my husband. I've just had a look at the English tra...

Re: EU settlement scheme family permit for non EU parents

Dependency is never assumed, exactly the opposite in fact. You have to prove they are dependent on the EU sponsor. Which you won't, because they aren't. Not true. In EU Settlement Scheme guidence it clearly states that dependency is assumed if the EU sponsor is over 18. I have also confirmed this w...

YMV to pre-settled status to settled status to citizenship

Hi all, I'd like to know if anyone has arrived in the UK on the Youth Mobility Visa (YMV) and then become a British Citizen via the EU route (for those with EU family members). It's common knowledge that the pathway from YMV -> Tier 2 (general) -> ILR -> British Citizen doesn't allow for the inclusi...

Re: Non-EEA partner of EEA citizen's Residence card lost - Anyone has any experience/advice?

Hi Domirald, Yes I do think it's risky as it is completely dependant on the immigration officer. I took a chance and I didn't re-apply straight away as my husband and I have thousands of pounds of pre-booked travel, weddings etc that we have to attend so we cannot risk not having our passports for t...

Re: Non-EEA partner of EEA citizen's Residence card lost - Anyone has any experience/advice?

Hi kamoe, I'm in the same situation as you except I am a direct family member. Unfortunately I was only issued with my BRP in July of this year too so it's like a bit of a punch in the face. However, that sentence about not having to re-apply for a residence card applies to direct family members onl...

Re: GETTING MARRIED AFTER APPLYING FOR EEA EFM

I think the best you can do is apply for the EEA(EFM), give your notice to get married and take it from there. I can tell you for sure some people have been detained by reading other posts here. I was also panicking about this because I did not know what my status was after my visa had expired. Some...

whyyouhere, I'm assuming your partner is an EU citizen and he is a Qualified Person? If so, for EEA(EFM) you need to think laterally when providing evidence of your cohabitation.
