I came to the UK in early 2006 with a work permit, swtiched to Tier 2 in early 2010, got my ILR in June 2011. My wife came to the UK in June 2010 with a Tier 2 dependant visa, applied for ...

ILR Eligibility of my wife

Hello, I'm looking for some expert advice on my wife's ILR application. My wife came to the UK in June 2010 with a Tier 2 dependant visa. I received my ILR in June 2011. However, we applied for her ILR dependant visa in Feb 2012 and received the visa in Sept 2012. I'm wondering if she is eligible to...

I wouldn't think it would be an issue. Mine was simply addressed to the UK Border Agency. The subject on the letter was quite clear that the application was towards ILR. Didnt have an issue with my application.

Re: Final Checks with 195 days out - Appointment on the 16th

Hi Ken - good luck! I'm in a similar-ish boat. My total absences are 286 days (excluding travel dates) and here is the break-up: 1) Business trips: 193 (have employer letter certifying each trip) 2) Paid Annual vacations: 93 (have an overall employer latter certifying no unpaid absences) 3) Unpaid ...

Thanks.
I was asked for a P60/P45 as an evidence of my previous employment. However, as I already had a letter from my previous employer supporting my ILR, the P60 wasnt required.
P60 was not asked as an evidence for my current employment (though I had taken it with me)

I was on a WP + Tier 2 visa. Came to the UK in early 2006 and worked for 2 employers. Made a successful ILR application today with the Croydon PEO. As it happened... My appointment was at 09:00, hence reached PEO at 08:30. Was asked to see an officer who checked all my docs. The lady asked for my LI...

Thanks Daslimy1. I guess the timelines for all dependent visas (i.e., T1, T2 etc) are all the same. Do kindly update if you hear from the BHC.

Gud luck!

Tier 2 Dependant Waiting Times - Chennai

Hi, My wife had applied for her Tier 2 dependant visa on the 20th May 2010 from Chennai. I was of the impression that Tier 2 dependant visas dont take more than a week to get processed. This impression was further affirmed when my friend's wife got her dependant visa within a week (she had applied l...

Yes, you would receive an email from the HO with the BRN the next working day post your online appointment booking. So, give it a day and you should have it.

Though I'm quite relieved now that I've got my visa, I wasn't clear when it came to providing the documentary evidence. Thought this might help someone who is extending their visa using transitional arrangements.
