Re: No response from HO

I will be crossing my 6 months next week... And to me, its a fairly straight forward case. Student (6 Years).... Tier 2 (5 Years)... ILR (8 Months)... Applied for citizenship on the basis of having ILR and being married to a BC (My wife was born and raised in the UK). I have no criminal convictions ...

Re: Four and a Half Months and still waiting

There is an email address you can use to ask for update, it is in one of the other threads in this forum. I hope you hear soon. Out of curiosity, did you not have the option go use your local council nationality checking service where they photocopy your documents and you get to keep all the origin...

Re: Four and a Half Months and still waiting

So past 5 months and still no word from the HO. Spoke to my local MP as well, his office has asked the HO about my case about a month ago. The MPs office said, because I am asking too many question, my case is open extra scrutiny and may end up taking a longer. Ridiculous! Cant ask the HO for an Upd...

Re: Four and a Half Months and still waiting

After numerous queries, the HO have repied back with a very vague letter stating they are still completeing "Good Character Checks" and this is a very broad spectrum check and can take a while. HO BS.... for keep waiting, we will work according to our timelines. They are not entertaining my request ...

change of circumstances

Hello Its been 4.5-5 months since I have applied for my BC. No luck and no word from the HO on where the application stands. As the process took much longer than expected, our upper management is not happy as travel restrictions are hindering our business (most of my customers/suppliers are european...

Re: Four and a Half Months and still waiting

Hi, it seems the Home Office, particularly where Citizenship applications are concerned are relatively, if not completely, unaccountable. The service provided for the fees received is often abysmal but who really cares? If you are applying for citizenship it is highly likely that Ministers and MP’s...

Hello all I am a regular reader on the forum, but rarely post. I wanted to hear you opinions on how long BC applications take!!! In my view, I have a relatively straightforward application - 1. 2016 - Moved to UK as a student. 2. Sept 2012 - Application for Tier 2 rejected with Employer A due to mi...

Re: Four and a Half Months and still waiting

I should state over the years, I have not had any run ins with the law. Never overstayed, Never been self employed, hence my taxes are straigh as an arrow. I have travelled a fair bit, but not exceeded any limits for applications made to the HO. I was granted ILR using the premium 1 day service, wit...

Re: Salary Discrepancy between T2 Sponsorship and actuality

If it looks fishy and it smells fishy, then it's fishy. 1. I don't believe this story, I'm sure neither will UKVI 2. If it is true, why would the employer do it? 3. and how do such dodgy companies get sponsorship licences? Ps - I actually have proof that I was already on the job hunt when my oct re...

Re: Salary Discrepancy between T2 Sponsorship and actuality

Hey Wanderer It is fishy and I can't deny it. But things were fine for 4 years before. It was only when he knew I was coming to my 4th annual permit renewal he started going funny about things. He basically wanted me to put in more work than I was already doing to increase my wage. Don't get me wron...

Re: ILR 10 Years application - Exceeding 540 Days

Unfortunately your extended absence from the UK means that your continuous period of stay is broken and you will not be eligible for long residence ILR. Your best option is to get ILR under Tier 2 after 5 years. You also have the option of switching to FLR(M) after marriage but that will set your i...

Re: Tier 2 General Visa, Salary Requirements

Has HMRC made a mandatory rule that with experienced hire, the minimum salary should be 35000 on tier 2 General? or So?? It is HO (Home Office) NOT HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs) that makes the rules. The scale of the income requirement is below. 35,000 from 6th APril 2016 35,500 from 6th APril 2018...
