PR certificate refused

I'm a EU citizen and my application for a permanent Residence Certificate was refused. I was employed and self employed. Despite including NI contributions and pension statement, they said that there were not enough invoices to demonstrate a continuity. I find this quite absurd. It doesn't say anywh...

That's the issue, I checked and rechecked and it's not clear at all. I tried calling and they don't know. By the way EU passports don't carry an address, so they can't t be used to prove residence. What I'm trying to understand is: if I use the route of applying for naturalisation using the PR certi...

I suggest you read the last page of the application form (form AN) to see what is required to apply for naturalisation. Passport is used to prove identity and residence. PR Confirmation is used to prove you are free from immigration control. That's the issue, I checked and rechecked and it's not cl...

Thanks! Yes you dont need to register the child as the child is already British What does a UK citizen do when they need a passport for the first time? they simply apply for it. They will ask for the proof that either PR has PR when the child was born so you simply send the PR confirmation with the...

So the one year rule doesn't apply. That's great.

And the citizenship is automatic....

Do you mean I won't need to register the child as British citizen?

What if he needs a passport?

You don't need to prove treaty rights. Just residence and for that a passport is enough.

The passport is Italian, so how does that prove residence?
Did you mean certificate of residence?

Am assuming the child will be born in the UK.[/quote] thanks for the clarity. Yes the child will be born in the UK. One last question...
