Re: US citizen & EU spouse living in UK to move to US

Ugh, I cannot edit. She will be able to work with an approved I-129F, however, if she needs to obtain evidence she can work, she needs to file yet another form (I-765) - I think this fee is waived though. It gets more confusing if they approve the I-130 first because that does not allow her entry in...

US citizen & EU spouse living in UK to move to US

Hi all, I'm digging more and more into this and I want to make sure I have everything correct. This website seems to do a decent job of explaining what to do but I still have a few questions: https://citizenpath.com/form-i-130-processing-time/ 1. So, we file from abroad Form I-130 ($535) and Form I-...

Re: US citizen married to EU spouse (both living in UK) - we want to move to US

My USC wife and I (UKC) are currently applying to immigrate to USA. We applied via the US Embassy in London which in normal times gets the process done in 90 days - unfortunately these are not normal times and the Embassy is currently closed pending possible reopening June 4th. This method was call...

Re: US citizen married to EU spouse (both living in UK) - we want to move to US

She is also 2 years away from getting UK settled status so we can come back (and eventually, British citizenship). If you leave to settle in the UK, you won't be able to maintain a footprint to get later a permanent residence then British Citizenship. 2 years from now she will have permanent reside...

Re: EEA National Traveling Outside EU with BRP Card Husband

Question: I was wondering how long could we travel TOGETHER outside of the UK/EU without any issue? I gather that what you are actually asking here is for how long you can be absent form the UK, without this being considered a gap in your continuous 5 year period needed for Settled Status? If so, t...

EEA National Traveling Outside EU with BRP Card Husband

Let me preface this by saying I hope this is in the correct forum... I am an EEA national that has been in the UK for just over 2 years married to an American citizen with a family permit/BRP card (valid up to 5 years - can live and work in UK). Question: I was wondering how long could we travel TOG...

Re: EEA FP Applying for EEA QP with wife once in London

Hey everyone! I sent out my application on October 20th, and about 5 days later I was asked to get my BRP photo taken, which I did next day, and here I am a few weeks later (Nov 19) with my BRP Residence card allowing me to work and stay in the UK! I hope this is all I am expecting to get. My wife r...
