Re: VFS - Passport dispatched by courier...

Oh dear, they're extremely difficult to contact. No number available or e-mail address. I would just need a tracking number to contact the couriers. If it is with the courier. So confusing

VFS - Passport dispatched by courier...

Got this e-mail from VFS: "The processed visa application for GWF reference number GWFXXXXXXXXX is dispatched via courier on Feb 21, 2024" but only one issue: I never paid for the courier fee? I always planned to collect my passport from the VFS office as my province is quite remote and any courier ...

VFS Global Passport Collection

If I did not pick the courier option on VFS Global 'added services' section does this mean the passport will automatically be set for collection? The Philippines VFS seems almost impossible to contact on this? They have no form or number on their website. Hope someone knows!

Language Requirement Issue

So having submitted my application and got my appointment date for biometrics I then realised that the original English test I did will not be valid for the application. I had taken IELTS General Training rather than IELTS General Training UKVI  I've since taken the latter test and got the min...

Switch from Charity Visa to Skilled Work Visa?

I had thought this wasn't possible but under the skilled work visa section on gov.uk it says: "Who cannot apply to switch to this visa You cannot apply to switch to this visa if you’re currently in the UK: on a visit visa on a short-term student visa on a Parent of a Child Student visa on a seasonal...

VFS Notification before Decision Letter

Hi all, I've got e-mails from VFS confirming a decision has been made for my visa application and that VFS will be sending out my passport via courier but I've had no decision letter. Is this normal :?: It seems rather strange. It should be nice to know so I can therefore book flights etc rather tha...

Re: Mistake on Visitor Visa form?

Yes, decided on that course of action. I also realised I made a mistake with the travel history which may actually HELP my application! Serves me right for rushing it but I was rushing because appointments were going so fast. Now I got an e-mail today saying they realise there has been a prob...

Mistake on Visitor Visa form?

Having submitted my application and booked the appointment I've realised I have made a mistake  I was refused a visitor visa before through missing documents. But I clicked 'no' to this option on the form. Will I be okay to put a cover letter in explaining I made this mistake and explaining wh...

Re: Short term Student Visa (11 months)

Thank you.

I was just wondering if there are any minimum hours you need to do on the course or whether it needs to lead to a formal qualification? The guidance seems to suggest not but I just wondered if that was really the case. It is not very clear. Anyway, thanks for your reply :-)

Short term Student Visa (11 months)

Hi all, I'm looking at going for the short term student visa to just do an English course. I've found one near to where my sister lives (I'm planning to live with her whilst I do the course). I'm only wondering, does it need to lead to a qualification? I can sign up for 39 weeks - just a general eng...

Re: Standard Visitor Visa Validity

Oh thank you. So it is valid from whatever date I put on the form? That would make a big difference to what date I put down. Thanks again.

Standard Visitor Visa Validity

Does anyone know what the validity of the standard visitor visa is? For example, if I put down 15th July for travelling on the application form I assume it will start from the 15th July but will there be a time limit on when I have to travel by? Let's say, one month or maybe a few month? I can't see...
