Re: Crossing Irish Border from NI - Non-Eu Partner

I think you have now entered into the realms of fantasy.... 1. Of course I had convinced myself (actually my wife) that we wouldn't apply for a visa (meaning we wouldn't go at all), as I have already explained we didn't have enough time. I wasn't looking for reassurance, I was enquiring if there wer...

Re: Crossing Irish Border from NI - Non-Eu Partner

Thanks for the information, but I am confused why you wrote the following: Such questions aren’t really questions, especially coming from an Irish person’s point of view. UK and Ireland are two countries and each has their own immigration rules and issues different visas. In my opinion they were rea...

Re: Is EEA FP required for SS applications

Just found this thread, which more or less answers my question. https://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-route-applications/article-10-residency-card-or-eea-family-permit-t235016.html So unless someone has any other information, this is no advantage, and possibly a great disadvantage in applying for an...

Is EEA FP required for SS applications

Hi all Apologies if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find this specific example. With regard to the SS route before Brexit (29th March 2019) is there any requirement to first apply for an EEA FP? Currently we are living in Malta, I am British, wife non-EU, we both have Maltese RC's (h...

Re: Calling any Filipinas.....need advice re: CFO Sticker

Thanks for the reply

My wife decided to go back to CFO office in Manila and spoke to the manager, who arranged for the Sticker to be attached to her passport, not really sure what the confusion was.

Anyway, she had no problems when leaving Manila.

Hope this is of use to someone else.

Re: Advice Concerning Moving to EU with Non-Eu Spouse

We plan to go to Malta, but will enter Schengen via the Czech Republic I understand what you are saying, but do they mark 90 days on the passport, if not, how would they distinguish between a visitor who has over-stayed their visa, and non-EU spouse who has accompanied their wife/husband Also, with ...

Also, received a phone call from the Italian embassy Basically, repeating the same mantra: Them: The marriage has to be registered in Ireland Me: Ireland doesn't have a mechanism for registering a foreign marriage Them: Then you have to apply for a tourist visa and pay 60 Euros Me: I don't want to p...

This is to confirm that Ireland recognizes civil marriage certificates issued by a foreign country if the citizen was married abroad as they have no facility to register foreign marriages.
