Visa expiry date?

I'm applying for T2 Dependent visa.
On the visa application, it asks for main applicant's visa expiry date.

Is this the date mentioned on Entry Clearance in her passport or BP Permit?
The Entry Clearance was valid for only a month so has already expired.
I would appreciate any clarification.
thanks

Appendix W - Child visa refusal

Here is the background: My wife got her Tier 2 - General visa. But since her SOC is "2211 - Medical practitioners", even the dependent is required to submit a criminal record certificate from all the country that I had lived for more than a year in the last 10 years. I was not able to apply for Tier...

Likely refused if your spouse is not also applying at the same time as the children. The immigration rules are clear on this point.
Can you please let me know where I can find that immigration rule?

Criminal record certificate Letter/Proof

I plan to apply for Tier 2 Dependent visa. As I have lived in Japan for more than 12 months, I am required to get a criminal record certificate from Japan. When I contacted the Japan Embassy, they asked for a [Letter/Proof from concerned Embassy/Mission where the applicant has applied/intends to app...

Re: Tier 2 general Main applicant received visa but dependents still awaiting

I was under the impression that status check would be available thru UKVI. It doesn't seem to be the case after doing some research.

Re: Tier 2 general Main applicant received visa but dependents still awaiting

It's odd it didn't get processed together. Where in India did you apply for the visa? I'll also be applying for Tier 2 + 2 Dependents in New Delhi next week. It does say "Most applications are processed within 15 days" for PBS Tier 2 so you actually got yours early. https://visa-processingtimes.home...

Keep Your Passport When Applying Service

Has anyone ever used "Keep Your Passport When Applying" service when applying for Tier 2? It says, "You can keep your passport with you until the UK embassy makes a decision regarding your visa, one way or the other. Once the decision is made, you will be called once again to complete the procedures...

Re: Urgent Query on TB test

I recently got my TB test done in New Delhi. I don't think the clinic sends out the TB test results directly to HO. On my certificate under important, it says "If your chest X-rays shows abnormality required follow-up, we will also give a copy of the chest x-ray and x-ray interpretation and this sho...

Thanks.
Is IELTS for UKVI "Academics" acceptable as well?
The next test date for IELTS for UKVI "General" isn't until May 23rd so I would prefer to take UKVI Academics.

Re: IELTS General Training

Any idea whether I need IELTS for UKVI Academics or General?
I'm assuming I should take IELTS for UKVI Academics but I can't afford to make a mistake as it's only offered 1-2 times a month.
thanks

Re: IELTS General Training

Thanks.
I was originally planning to use Tier 4, which didn't require IELTS for UKVI but IELTS Academic.
But I got a offer from NHS willing to sponsor me for Tier 2. It was the NHS who advised me to check my IELTS type as they seen many doctors get their visa rejected for submitting wrong IELTS.

Re: Switch from SOC to Non-SOC

Maybe he is asking for someone else? Either way, there is a very good reason why A&E (accident & emergency) is on the shortage occupation list. I heard many UK doctors avoid it as it's hectic. So they fill it with non UK doctors under Tier 2. Whereas Medicine is NOT on the list as it's easier to fil...

Sending boxes India to UK

Hi all,
We are moving to UK from India in the next few months.
We plan to sell everything but we want to send 3-4 boxes of clothes, toys, etc.

Anyone from India have any experience sending boxes to UK?
Any recommendation on courier services?
Any other advice would be highly appreciated.

I think TB test is required at the time of getting your visa.
Therefore, it's probably not necessary for her to get one.
