Agree with Rahul on this. Guys when you transfer money to your business account, the money belongs to business and not you. This is an act of investment. The only grey area is when you invest as directors loan and not as share capital then it can be argued you have not invested completely into busin...

Gabar -My advice is that you should go ahead with your application and make some good business plan. Business plan should be well understood by your mother. I don't see age going against them, a person having 23 years of experience is no joke. Many people on this forum might not have half that exper...

@rsrameshsunil Investment is act of pledging and not spending. I'm sure HO or any one else understands this. You have to understand once money belongs to business even you can't withdraw it without following corporation taxation rule. I can imagine things might be different in case of directors loan...

Any money which is in your business account is money belonging to your business and not you. You have invested this money in your business the moment you transferred it to your business account as part of initial capital, capital injection over a period of time or unsecured loan. As long as money is...

In my humble opinion, technically you can do contracting on Entrepreneur visa however this visa was not designed for the same. And I am certain if you write the same in your business plan while submitting application your visa will get rejected. However if you are doing contracting as part of your c...

You can be on payroll of your company.
You can pay yourself salary.
However the investment of 200K will not include any remuneration which you paid to yourself. Basically you can not show salary to yourself as part of 200K business investment.

Seriously basis of what you have posted it seems this decision is unjust. I mean this is point based system and they need to quantify the refusal on the basis of which points you did not score. The refusal letter should have black and white refusal points and no statements based on some generic lame...

I confirmed from a consultant and he also said what Rahul has said. I can confirm that we just need to show jobs only at the time of extension and not at the time of ILR. Thank you Rahul!

you got it right yourself. just 2 jobs in first 3years. Thats it for renewal and also for ILR(second renewal). When applying for ILR, you just have to show the same documentation of employees that you showed during first renewal. You have no obligation to employ anyone after first renewal. Hi Rahul...

Answer to both your questions is yes. I am not sure why people are giving you incorrect advice. Any business expense is part of investment except your own salary.

I am quite certain that the moment you put 200k in business account it means investment. From this point money is owned by business and not you. If business is not required to spend all of 200 K it will still satisfy criteria for investment. Imagine a scenario where you start generating profit from ...

In both the cases they are looking at aggregate job creation. So for accelerated route you can have 3 people for first two years and 4 people working full-time in third year.

I am happy if they bring more tighter regulations and rules, however it really disturbs me when they bring a half baked pie on the table. The 31st Jan regulations clearly show immature and unthoughtfulness of UKBA. The whole spirit of entrepreneurship seems to be lost by these changes. As an entrepr...

Quickly, could you let me know your views whether my interpretation of directors salary can not be paid through 200K invested in business is correct?

Use that money at will on business expenditure including salaries. However based on latest guidance - "If you already have leave as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) we ma...
