Ukraine Family scheme BRP - place of birth

My relative came to the UK on the Ukraine family scheme and just got her BRP card. I only now noticed that the place of birth on her BRP is Ukraine, but the place of birth in her passport is Russia. Both are confusing as she was born when it was still the USSR, but it's modern-time Russian territory...

Received invitation from council, but nothing from HO

So I applied for naturalisation in May and last Friday I received an invitation from the council. But nothing from HO - nothing in the spam/junk folder either. The email from the council said: Please bring the documents listed below with you on the day. Failure to bring these documents may result in...

Re: citizenship via ILR - 5+1 years route - presence in the UK

Understood, thank you. I found this requirement in the forum FAQ, hence the question! I might have to travel around those days but don't want to delay my application if that's possible.

Re: citizenship via ILR - 5+1 years route - presence in the UK

thank you! I did find that I must have been in the UK 5 years back from the application date. But surprisingly I didn't find the requirement to be in the UK when Home Office receives my application.

citizenship via ILR - 5+1 years route - presence in the UK

Hi everyone, I'm planning to apply for a British passport soon as I've had ILR for almost 1 year now and also trying to plan some holidays, so I need to clarify the requirement to be in the UK for this. 1. If my ILR was issued on 30th April last year, can I apply on the 30th of April this year or on...

Mother as a refugee

Never thought I would have to ask for advice like this, but here we are. I reside in the UK with an indefinite leave to remain and I am on the path to applying for British citizenship next year. The political situation in my home country is such that war is very likely to begin soon. My mother still...

Where did you have it stamped? They refused to do anything at my local police station.

Return police registration certificate after ILR

I'm sort of stuck with this now. My email from Atlas contains this passage: If you previously had to register with the police, once you are granted indefinite leave to remain you no longer need to do this. You should return your police registration certificate to the office or police station where i...

Re: SET(O) - most recent payslip date

So I understand it's probably the going rate. In this case, I need a new letter from my employer to state that my salary is higher than 36k, instead of 30k. Hopefully, that's a little change? If the letter date is before the application date, can I still submit the application?

Re: SET(O) - most recent payslip date

Sorry, I felt so confident in those questions and now I panic. In the letter from the employer, the requirements say "confirmation that this is at or above the appropriate rate for the job as stated in the codes of practice for Tier 2 sponsors. (See note 8 below)" 1. I cannot simply find "codes of p...

Re: SET(O) - most recent payslip date

Thanks, Zimba. I feel I'm flying blind a bit here. How much time do I have from when I make the application to upload supporting documents? Is it all the time until biometrics appointment?

Thanks!

Re: SET(O) - most recent payslip date

Just back from the bank, they will issue an 'interim statement' whatever it is, but it is going to take a couple of days + bank holidays. Can I still submit the application and try to book biometrics appointment, which is likely to be in several weeks from today? I will then still upload the stateme...

Re: SET(O) - most recent payslip date

1. Ok, so I figure I will have to wait for my March payslip before I can submit the applioation. Oh well!
2. It was after my 1st week of employment to finish some moving tasks (hence we agreed it would be unpaid)

Re: SET(O) - most recent payslip date

Thanks! 1. I'm honestly a bit confused, will I provide the bank statement, payslips and letters from employers at my biometrics appoitnment or will I need to upload them after I pay for my application online? In either case, can I pay on 30th March, book biometrics and then upload the payslip and le...

SET(O) - most recent payslip date

Dear forum advisors, need help! 1. I get paid on the last working day of every month. In February it was the 26th February. I plan to submit my application on 30th March, so the most recent payslip would still be from 26th February - is it going to be accepted? Or is it going to be more than 'one ca...
