No available UKVCAS appointments in any services

Hi, I'm starting to get pretty worried now. I applied for citizenship over 3 months ago and I still haven't had my UKVCAS appointment done. I still need to get my biometrics and documents scanned. Obviously for 2 months I couldn't do anything as all the UKVCAS points closed, but they've now been ope...

Are biometrics no longer required due to COVID-19?

So I finished my online application about a month ago, literally a couple days after I submitted everything the lockdown happened and all centres etc started closing down. I just checked the online application page and it says somehting like "your application will not be affected by centres closing"...

Re: Biometrics appointment during COVID-19

So I'm wondering, given the circumstances and that we can't even finish our applications now since the application hasn't been completed until you've scanned your documents and done your biometrics, will it be possible to get a refund for the citizenship fee? I'm very annoyed that I just payed £1,30...

Re: Biometrics appointment during COVID-19

You can book an appointment, but the liklihood of it being cancelled is quite real. You will then need to either rebook or cancel and wait till later. Ok, thanks. I do want to book it and at least have a possibility of doing it as soon as possible. However, with the quarantine restrictions in place...

Re: Biometrics appointment during COVID-19

The centres are closing and many have received emails cancelling their appointments. A member posted about an hour ago that their Birmingham appointment for Monday has been cancelled. So what should I do in my case? I just submitted my online application and I would like to sort everything related ...

**** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Hi, I have filled out my form and submitted everything, made the payment etc, but I am now quite frustrated to see that all the centres that are somewhat near me have absolutely zero biometric appointments for the next month. There is one place in Birmingham that has a lot of appointments though, ev...

British Naturalisation - should I include my education history in the online application?

So I have pretty much finished my online application for naturalisation. The thing is I am only 20 years old and have only been working for about 2 years, I am worried the government will look at this and decide I have not met some sort of requirement, even though I've been in this country since I w...

Re: Covid 19 and processing citizenship application

I'd like to know this too, I am about to submit my application and I am very concerned that it will take longer to process than usual. I read normally it takes about 2-3 months, which would be great... hopefully Covid 19 doesn't affect it too much, to be fair I don't think it necessarily will since ...

Re: "Explain why you are unable to provide a valid form of identification"

Just a little update and hopefully someone here could give me some more clarification: Basically I phoned the UKVI number for nationality enquiries and the lady who I spoke to was of some help but I am still a bit concerned. She basically says she doesn't know why it says that, but that my permanent...

Re: "Explain why you are unable to provide a valid form of identification"

So I am an EU citizen with permenant residence applying for citizenship through the online form. I don't have a valid passport but I do have a valid EU ID card, and every bit of online guidance I read including the official UK guidance on the governments website, says this is fine. However, in the ...
