Letter for Visa

Hello, Please can I get some help in regards to a format for a sponsor/cover letter on a tourist visa application? I am a British Citizen, in full-time professional employment. My parents would like to visit me for 2-3 weeks in the UK. They have access to their own funds, but I would like to supply ...

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Thank you for the kind information. I was looking across the “right of abode” matter, and googled it to find more depth clarity. And I’m still having some uncleared thoughts about this. What does this right of abode mean really in simple English? Does it give the bearer right to travel with their ow...

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Once an individual receives their citizenship and becomes British, do they need to notify their own country’s consulate or embassy about change of citizenship?

Does the person need to notify HMRC and banks and any other official places?

Any other info would be most grateful

Re: old passports? what to send

Like the other person mentioned there’s no harm in sending them; however if you are sending them as part of the Citizenship application then it’s better to do a timeline on a A4 sheet.
Also keep copies for yourself.

You could state :

Passport No. - Validity - Expiry - And the visa it contains

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Thank you for the reply.

What if there are more delays or severe delays, what if the passport doesn’t come through for something, does the person contact the HO or what’s the reference here?

Re: Passport Application From USA: Which courier delivers the Passport in the US?

Thank you for the reply.

Just broadening my knowledge.

I wasn’t sure if it was possible to swap from USA passport to UK, I know in places you can swap one citizenship to another.

Thanks again and all the best.

Are USA citizens able to directly swap their passport to a British Passport?

(Asking just out of curiosity)

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

After attending the ceremony, is the candidate given a reference about the passport if they applied through JCAP?
I mean to track delivery etc or a letter of some sort?

Or attend the ceremony, take the certificate and await to hear from courier company itself?

Any insight on this please?

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Passport needs to be separately applied which allows you to choose (during your application) what delivery method you would like to receive your documents. Passport itself is delivered via DX, Yes! One more thing, the above advise applies if you applied for BN online or using paper, if you have use...

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

I’m confused as to why there is a need to have two different segments if they are both meant to be the same?

Could someone explain it please if that’s okay?

Is it for the purpose of religious reasons that there is a purpose for the two different ones?

Thank you for all your kind replies

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Thank you for the reply.

Do we have to choose one?

Is it possible for a person to do both, Oath and Affirmation and everything?

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Thank you kindly for all the replies and the information.

Could you provide some knowledge on the/about the “Oath or the Affirmation of allegiance” please?

What is the difference between the two?

Which applies to whom?

Any expertise or further clarifications regarding these?

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Please clarify if you have already applied online and used NDRS for the JCAP as this service is no longer available? HMPO debits the passport fee. This is debited regardless of whether your application is approved or refused if you have applied using JCAP. Thank you kindly for the reply. Yes that i...

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Thank you kindly for all the replies. Just one quick question though, does the HO debit the fees for the B.P. once the application is approved and before sending acknowledgement or do they debit the B.P.P fees once a person attends the citizenship ceremony? any insight would be appreciated in advance.
