Hi, do you know if there is a need to update your national insurance number with dwp and tell them you have changed nationality?

Is your approval letter worded like that? CITIZENSHIP INVITATION APPLICATION FOR BRITISH CITIZENSHIP BY: Your Name goes here and date of birth If this is what you got, this is what you need to take to the ceremony. By the way this is the only letter I got and was enough for the ceremony.

In my approval letter it said the council will arrange a ceremony. It also had the phone number of the council, and the details as they will appear in the certificate. If you have the same type of letter, then ring them and arrange a ceremony. Some councils send invitation letters and some don't, bu...

they asked to do both, but I suspect that the person the council talked on the phone didn't know, or didn't really understand that what we have. Anyway, I wished I just posted my documents without the NCS, it was more hassle than worth it.

EU citizen and NCS observations.

Today I applied through NCS. They didnot take the original Life in the UK certificate, they made a copy and gave the original back to me! Is this ok? They also called a home office case worker to ask if i had to fill the section on treaty rights since i had EEA 3 for more than a year. They said that...

Can the referee sign the an form 2 weeks before I submit it?

I am preparing our application and wondered if a referee signs AN form 2 weeks before I submit it, then I send it to HO two weeks later is this acceptable?

Does the child that gets a passport in such a way need to prove that the parent was settled in future passport application, or they record the child in the system? I am asking this, because 20 years down the line you might lose those documents.

I don't know about Q1,

but for Q2 they should prove to the passport office that they are settled. They should read the IPS policy chapter on Treaty rights

EU citizen applying for naturalization 1 year after Pr card

If an EU citizen has held Pr card for 1 year and wants to apply for naturalization, does the EU citizen have to complete section 2.4, 2.5, and 2.6 of the application form, or submitting the pr card would be enough?

Would I also need to include covering letter? Would they be aware at the passport office about the blue booklet, or I need to point it to them?

What about Grandparents details, are they needed in this case?
Thanks

British Child Passport - both parents EU citizens

Me and my wife are both EU citizens. We have Registration Certificates confirming Permanent Residency which were issued before the child was born. Is it enough just to include the EEA3 Permanent Residence Documents for the childs passports or we need to prove 5 years of treaty rights to the passport...

the passport was with the new name. we also submitted the old perforated passport with the maiden name. EEA3 Document Received -Maiden name instead of new name

We received our permanent residence documents today. On my wife's, by mistake they printed her Maiden name instead of the new name. We are waiting for a baby. Will this be a problem proving the link between the mother and the baby when applying for baby's passport? Will this be a problem when my wif...

The EU will soon take the UK to court, because the EU feels that if you are entitled to the NHS as everybody that lives here after a year, there is no need for CSI. So they gave the UK two months, the UK might fight or not fight.

They refused you incorrectly. You can appeal, or reapply with a cover letter explaining why on each of these 4 points the visa officer was wrong. I am sending you a private message.

Friendinneed, did you just submit your pr card when you applied, or you also included proof of exercising treaty rights for 5 years? Is it ok to apply one year after pr card without including everything for the last 5 years?

They might or might not issue you a refusal letter, but for sure will stamp your passport with the refusal stamp. If all your papers are genuine they can still refuse you, if they feel you might overstay. UK is not part of schengen and technically speaking unless they find out about your uk visa app...

Re: reply

There is order in EU, if you created labor market disturbance on a massive scale that would be bad for the EU, the host country and the sending country. I don't feel I was humiliated, this was a very good and balanced decision and certainly economically right. As far as the external borders, yes the...

Re: SIs

Continental Europe is great for holidays, think of Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Rome, the beaches of Spain, Tuscany, etc. Most developed countries base their visa policies on nationalities. Let's face it it is not fair. It is indeed humiliating. Unfortunately there is no other way. Vetting people by natio...

The reason for transitional measures were right. I am from Eastern Europe and my country was directly affected by those measures. These measures were introduced to prevent massive disturbance on the labour market of other states while giving time for the eocnomies of the East to catch up. Borders ar...

SIs

The Schengen Information System is online in most of EU plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland. It is now online in Bulgaria and Romania even though they are not yet part of schengen. Now don't get me wrong, no respectable EU country will grant you a visa if they find out you used fake documents when app...
