Submitting an application

Hi I should know the answer to this as I've done it before but just want to double check. My wife is applying for FLR. If her current visa expires 20th December she will need to complete the online form and payment before this date? Her documents can be uploaded at a later date (not before 20 Decemb...

Re: ILR documents checklist

So my wife hasn't managed to pass the life in the UK test after trying. She has another booked in for this week but there is no room for error this time as she won't have time to book another test before her visa expires if she was to fail again. If she isn't able to pass it at this last attempt I'm...

Re: ILR documents checklist

Thank you
Blimey, it seems there's a lot less to submit then I would have thought.
If you don't need any proof of living here how do they conclude you've been here 10 continuous years-is it just based on the passports?

ILR documents checklist

Hi all, My wife will be applying for ILR through the 10 year partner route at the end of the year. From posting on here before I believe she isn't subject to the financial requirements. So to confirm we won't need to submit her (or mine) bank statements? Also we won't need to submit her payslips (or...

Some questions for ILR

Hi all I'm sure these queries have been asked before so apologies. My wife is applying for ILR at the end of the year. She will need to pass the KOL test and also the English language test. I've downloaded the approved test centres from the gov website but there a ton of different exams offered, whi...

IHS

My wife is applying for FLR (discretionary leave) this will be her 3rd DL application as she has to go through the 10 year family route, so another 2.5 years also after this one. She originally came to the UK in 2009 on the spouse visa. Last time out she paid the IHS but she now refuses to pay it th...

Re: Proof of right to work

I don't think proof of postage would make much difference with her boss. The address on the proof of postage is just a postcode, and I don't think her boss would check this let alone call the home office for confirmation. Could she write to the Home Office for confirmation of her right to work? I'm ...

Proof of right to work

Hi My wife's discretionary leave to remain ended in July and she has submitted her application for an extension. For her application she had to submit her residence card but this week her employers have asked her for this as they are doing checks on all foreign nationals to make sure they have up to...

FLR (DL) application form

Hi My wife is filling in her DL application. In section 4-dependent who are also applying- the part where it asks for her partners details does she need to fill my details in (her husband). I'm British born and live here so I'm guessing no,but I can't see anywhere else on the form where she would pu...

Re: FLR (O) or FLR (M)

That was a good link to read through thanks, thought we had cracked it and could apply for ILR but coming back to the thread it now seems we can't just yet. Did google A280B and had a read through but couldn't make head nor tail of it on first reading if I'm honest. Will try again later, can I just ...

Re: FLR (O) or FLR (M)

Yes. I don't think she can yet apply for ILR until after her second DLR extension. If I'm reading the rules correctly for FLR I think it would be touch and go whether we would meet the financial requirements anyway. In section 3 of the FLR (O) form where you have to put the reason for applying would...

Travelling on residence permit

Hello My wife's current residence permit will expire 22 July 2015 and we were wondering does she need to have a certain amount of time left on it to be able to travel outside of the country (UK) We are taking a holiday in Portugal in February and to apply for the Schengan Visa she needed to have 3 m...
