Invitation letter for 2 year visitor visa

Hi

I want to write an invitation letter for my parents who are applying for a 2-year visitor visa. What dates should I put as they will be visting multiple times in those 2 years. Is there a template or any guidelines? Any advice and guidance will be helpful

Thanks,
Priya

Which application form should I fill for ILR

Hi,

My husband initially had a Tier 2 General Visa and he has since received Indefinite Leave to remain (in 2019).

My current visa is a dependant visa on his Tier 2 General visa. Which application form do I need to fill to apply for my ILR application? Is it Set (O) or Set (M)?

Thanks

Re: Regarding absences

No as your applications are separate. There is no need to be there together No original document is taken from you Not even my passport and BRP? Correct Hi can someone answer a new question. Should i enter my immigration history and absenses from the period of 5 years or the date I entered the uk o...

Re: Tier 2 Dependant Question

Unclear when your visa expires or what service your spouse is using for their ilr. Might be useful to state this. There is no requirement that you must apply at the same time he applies for ilr if you still have sufficient visa validity If you don't pay the required £1200 IHS your application will ...

Re: Tier 2 Dependant Question

The visa is issued for the length that is stated in the CoS. So if CoS is for 3 years, it is a 3 year visa. Then a new CoS is needed for X number if years, usually 2 or 3 years, to get an extension. Thank you, this is very helpful. One more Q regarding IHS. My husband is applying for ILR at the sam...

Possible but then an initial visa for 6 years would have been issued and a second extension after 3 years would not have been required.
So does a CoS last for the length of a visa?

It would have been a new cos for the extension, likely the "up to 3 years"
Can one CoS be valid for 6 years?

Tier 2 Dependant Question

Hi, On the PBS and Appendix W Dependant Partners form, in the field, "What is the length of your spouse's Certificate of Sponsorship(CoS)?", I am not sure which of the answers I should choose. My husband has been with his company for 6 years, the first CoS was for 3 years. The second time, company a...

Re: Regarding PBS dependant visa with main applicant applying for ILR

Yes there doesn't seem to be much guidance in the online form. Done filling my husband's ILR form and halfway through mine. The first question it asks when you filled your own pbs extension form is “person you are joining” isnt it?? Yes but I thought that to mean "Person I am joining in the UK" ins...

Re: Regarding PBS dependant visa with main applicant applying for ILR

Thanks for the answer. 1 more question is that I need to provide the main applicant's passport and BRP with my PBS dependant application. How would I do that if both of us get different dates of application, as we have to fill our online forms seperately? The form will tell you which details to pro...

7 months for work will be living in yes.
Ok thanks, we will add that. And it shouldn't be a problem as it is more than 180 days absence? We are getting a letter from his employer confirming he was away on work.

Re: Does work secondment count as a country of residence?

Please keep all your questions in one thread for proper advice. I am assuming those 7 months were scattered through the 5 year period e.g. 1 month, 3 weeks etc. So then no he was not living there at that time. or was it in one go?? He was still employed by his employer in the UK and was away on wor...

Does work secondment count as a country of residence?

Hi my husband is applying for ILR. He was seconded to another country for 7 months in the 5 year period by his UK employer, which we have mentioned in the absences from the UK section. Do we also need to mention this country as a country of residence under the section where we are asked, "Have you p...
