For 2) I don't think they are allowing to apply for both registration and passport at once.
I went to HC last week and was told that I couldn't do both together.

I am similar situation, me being British and I would like to apply Indian passport for my UK born child. I went to High Comission with all the documentation listed on their site and forums. Hi,

Can somebody clarify how to get the photo meet the ministry of India photo requirements please?
I am unable to get soft copy to below 20 Kb without losing the pixel requirement.
Any help much appreciated? This is delaying our application.

baby closed his eyes in the photo

Is it ok if baby closed his eyes in the photo? My baby is only one month old and he wouldn't open his eyes for the photo.
Not sure if i can apply for indian passport like this. Can anybody please confirm?

Hi,

Yes, you need to fill the date when you got your PR answering yes to the immigration question.

you need to send the photocopies of your passport and your child's passport plus of course the original birth certificate of your child.

Yes, my payslips matched with bankstatements though there is couple of days difference in the dates.
Well, I put only the matched ones that's why 5 months! :)

Yes, I took my company bank statements, but they didn't ask me. They have asked some people in the past though.

They don't ask but they will calculate if you have earned enough points based on the evidence you provide.
