Citizenship quere

Hi All,

I have got the ILR for my daughter the last week. I just wanted to know whether my 4-year kid who is born in India have to wit for 1 year for citizenship after the ILR. Or she can apply straight away. I am holding the british passport and my wife is still on ILR

Naturalisation application for kid born in India

Hi,

My wife and baby got the ILR today. the baby was born in India. Can i apply now for baby citizenship straight away or do i need to wait for 1 year for the baby to apply for naturalization

Can someone please suggest. My daughter visa will be expiring in Dec 2018. Can i apply for her naturalisation directly without applying for her ILR. She was born in India and that time I was on ILR and my wife was on PBS dependent visa. Now i have British passport and wife got the ILR

Her pbs dependent visa is valid till dec 2018. She is 3 year old and will be 4 in May.

So the advice is to apply her ILR rather than naturalisation ?

I haven't applied the ILR for the kid at the time of mother due to cost. You mean only option is to apply for ILR for my daughter there is no way i can apply for her naturalisation directly. ILR is must if that's the case i will apply for her ILR please confirm

My children will be 4 in May. She was born on 15th may 2014 and came to uk on march 2015, sinec then she is here in UK

Can you please suggest is it possible to apply for her citizenship without ILR

There is some rule changes from 11th Jan 2018 for absence calculation for dependent, Whether that rule will not be applicable in my case or this rule will be applied retro respectively to all the applicant apply ILR after 11 Jan 2018. or its will be only applicable for those who are getting the visa...

So the new rule will not effect her, My main query was regarding the absents.
she already have passed the English test and Life in uk test

she should not have any problem in applying

Thanks how long my kid need to wait before she can apply for naturalisation. Does my wife need to naturalised before my kid can apply ?
