Re: Surinder Singh Settled Status Paper Application:

Finally have some updates for the applications. I can see my parents' settled status online now. Seems their detail has been booked into the system and approved just today. Obviously the caseworkers update the system before sending the post. Haven't received any email or call from them in the meant...

Re: Surinder Singh Settled Status Paper Application:

Thank you all guys for updating your status here. We are very much on the same timeline. Not aware of what 'stage 2' means either as Mdml07 mentioned. I will contact them again at the beginning of Feb. Hope the results end up well. Good luck everyone.

Re: Surinder Singh Settled Status Paper Application:

Anyone applying last September is still waiting for a decision? We've received the COA at the beginning of November. It's almost 3 months since that, still, nothing. Called HO twice, got an official answer of 'no timeline can be given' every single time. 5 years RC will be expiring next month... :(

Hi,

I received my BRC this morning by DX courier after receiving the email that I had been granted settled-status.

Wishing you all the best. Many thanks for all the help and support I've received here.
Congratulations jestew!

Re: Surinder Singh Settled Status Paper Application:

Did you get a COA. I am minded to make a formal complaint, but need more data. I understand it may be justified that assessment are undertaken for people who have not previously been issued documents under the surinder singh provision, but it make no sense and quite frankly unlawful to treat people...

Re: EU & Brexit Deal

hi all, any idea what might/could happen in my situation: eu national applied for DCPR in July 2016 DCPR issued in Nov. 2016 Permanent residence deemed to have been acquired 5 April 2016. Applied for naturalisation in April 2017 and currently waiting for a decision. I appreciate that this situation...

Re: EU & Brexit Deal

Still very unclear at this stage. Very reserved offer if UK doesn't specify dispute right, family members and on top of that, UK wants to ditch the ECJ ruling, which means no guarantee in reality for whoever entering the country by EEA law, let alone the grey areas like 'extended family members', re...

Re: Going to Northern Ireland through Dublin no EEA FP

I'm sorry, I might have not been clear enough: I was referring to the moment when we'll land in Dublin Airport and we'll have to show documents. Once out of airport we will, indeed, go to take a bus to Belfast, but I understand that there is no land border control. My worry is about my non -EEA hus...

Re: Visa required for my non-EU widowed mother for Ireland

Ok I see what you mean now. After you apply for EU1 visa for her in Ireland, she will receive letter from Ireland authority, i.e.INIS any way, and potentially can have her a 6 months stamp 4 after 4 weeks or so. That should be sufficient to show she is resident in Ireland at that time, not UK. Also,...

Re: Visa required for my non-EU widowed mother for Ireland

(Question 1) My fear is then at that point could Irish Immigration refuse stating that my mother applied for EU1 while entering Ireland on UK Visitor visa (which is allowed under the waiver programme I know) and she should have instead applied for entry into Ireland from India under Directive 2004/...

Re: Visa required for my non-EU widowed mother for Ireland

Thank you both el patron and ruthie. Ruthie - do you know if my mother applies from India to Irish embassy in India to accompany myself in Ireland under the Directive 2004/38/EC then would there be any issues please? The reason for asking is I would like to find work first in Ireland and also her s...

Re: Visa required for my non-EU widowed mother for Ireland

As your mom is an Indian national, she can benefit from the visa waiver program which will be valid untill 2016, but I would suggest you don't run the risk of going through the customs and explain her purpose of travelling at border control. Just go from Northern Ireland, it is legal in every way. O...

Re: non eea dependent parents visa refused

They have already stated in the refusal letter that you need to prove you are a qualified person, as you've been in Ireland for more than 3 months already. Do you have any employment letter, work contract, payslips? Anything work related really.

How long have you been in Ireland? You need to prove you are qualified by submitting evidence of your work or study.
