Guidance on application for Elderly Parents settlement visa

Thanks for your response,

I have spoken to few solicitors who have told me that if the application is declined before the expiry of there visa (Early Oct) , they will not get a chance to appeal.
Is that correct ?
Can anyone advise, share there views?
