Re: Migrant Worker student finance PN1 form

The school has re examined my docs after I sent them an email to reverse their decision which categorized me as an international student. I have now been classified as home student . Note : duration in the UK is 10 years but currently hold LR on a 10yr route. Also page 6 of 8 of the New eligibility...

Re: Visa requirements for baby born in U.K

Please tell me is bank statement for the funds maintenance required. It depends. Bank statements are one way to show maintenance, but there are others. See Appendix Student, paragraphs ST 33.1 to 33.5, and Appendix Finance paragraphs FIN 9.1 and 9.2 Secondly, bank statement should be of U.K or Paki...

Re: Immigration advice

I’m worried that the university may refuse to sponsor the application on the probability of refusal of application if it’s discussed with them. That would be highly unusual, and it would need to be an extremely serious matter. I do wonder if you are over-thinking this issue. I note that you are fro...

I think you must mean the General grounds for refusing a visa. The Rules about that are here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-part-9-grounds-for-refusal And the guidance for how caseworkers look at various matters is here: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/gen...

Re: Immigration advice

Does it really need a lawyer?

Student immigration applications are designed to not need legal support, and most universities have a dedicated international student adviser who is trained in supporting Student immigration applications.

Re: Tier 4 dependant BRP status - No work, No Engaging in Business

Dependants can work if the main migrant's course is longer than 9 months. The UKVI caseworker seems to have treated her last application as if it is for a new short course, not an extension of a longer course. This may be correct, given that there was a gap between the two parts of the course. Your ...

I have checked gov.uk, it says current account can be used. It also says it must be a personal account, not a business account. See Appendix Finance, paragraph FIN 8.1: FIN 8.1. Funds may be held in any form of personal bank or building society account (including current, deposit, savings, pension ...

The OP didn't say that s/he was previously on the Doctorate Extension Scheme and s/he certainly hasn't had the recently introduced Graduate visa.
Hence that paragraph answers their question.

People who have previously had some types of permission cannot apply. They are listed in paragraph GR 1.4 of Appendix Graduate.

I did not think that I can apply for my switch to GTV in another country. I thought that leave to remain needs to be applied for from inside the UK only. Is there a UK visa category for a family member to accompany a student to the UK. He will be 12 in August.
Only as a Standard Visitor.

There is a visa for Parent of a Child Student, but not a grandparent and it appears that the child already has a parent in the UK.

The application portal itself has all the relevant information.

If you want individual guidance, speak to to the university that is sponsoring the visa. They will have an international student adviser whose job is to help students with their applications.

You still seem to be confused between the 28 days (minimum length of statement) and 31 days (maximum age of statement). I think you should get one-to-one advice.

I was just here to post an update and it turns out I was right all along. The answer from LSBU is a little vague and seems to be about an extension of the course, with DfE covering the tuition fees. I would double check with them what this means for those students who also need a Student visa exten...
