What is the category under which you have applied? Are you salaried or self employeed? I am not sure but self employeed has to show couple of other documents? I applied for Tier1(General). And I am employed by an MNC here in India for last 2.5 yrs. Before that Iwas working with an Indian IT company.

statement of bank's computer stationary - sufficient or not

Hi All

I have taken bank statements on Bank's computer stationary having bank's name and logo. Statements are stamped and signed by bank.

Are these considered original and sufficient or do i need to get a letter from the bank.

a) No, Fixed Deposits are not considered. It has been clarified in the Updated Tier1 guidance. b)About transactions, guidance says that your statement should show regular credits and debits, to make sure that your account is active. nowhere in the guidance it is mentioned that you need to show the source of funds.
But members on this forum advise to do so.
