No, that is accurate - you need to be present at the start of the qualifying period and on the date of application - which is the day HO receives your appliction (see page 17 of the guide AN). If applied using NCS, you will be able to keep your original documents. You need to be physically present in the UK when the HO receives your application and that is why NCS will request not to travel for 5 days following the appointment with them. Change mother's passport match first. Yes this is a solution but then we would have to transfer visas to the new one. Finally, we were able to get the birth certificate changed (UK - GRO headoffice). Few additional info which may be helpful :

You receive your token number of ground floor. Pay on 1st floor and wait there in front of counters until your number is announced. :arrow: Don't expect your appointment to be right on time. 30-50 mins wait is standard.
