Re: Refused British Citizenship due to Deception

Hi foufou, May I ask why your initial application for naturalisation was declined? Hi foufou, Thank for the update. Could you please share what legal advice you've been given - in a generic way of course. Are you going for a judicial review? If so, is this after 90 days have passed since your decisi...

Re: Refused British Citizenship due to Deception

Thanks for the interpretation Siraj, makes sense. I've noticed they deduced the fees (£80) for reconsideration from my debit card on 23/10/15. Hoping they'll resolve it soon. If not resolved in 8 weeks, will initiate the pre action protocol followed by judicial review if necessary. Hi smacky, I thin...

Re: Refused British Citizenship due to Deception

Hi Obie, Not sure what you're referring to as their policy? Do you mean reconsideration in light of new evidence? I didn't submit this part of my naturalisation application (and many other visas before this) as I expected them to know this being the respondents in the case and having issued a visa b...

Re: Refused British Citizenship due to Deception

Hi Obie, Could you please advise on what a "pre action protocol" is? Is it notification of one's intention to pursue a judicial review to the Home Office through a lawyer? If so, can I send that while the application is under reconsideration assuming the decision won't change? Thanks. You should not...

Refused British Citizenship due to Deception

Hi all, I received correspondence from the Home Office stating that my application has been refused. The reason stated is that in 2008, I was served with an IS151A as I was allegedly seeking to gain leave by deception as a student. As such, the Home Secretary deems I do not meet the good character r...

Re: PBS Dependant Extension - Main applicant's document

Hi josekumar,
I'm in a similar situation as you. Could you please advise on what you sent? Is it okay to apply using PBS dependant form even though the main applicant has switched from Tier 1 (General) to ILR? Thanks.

My ILR + Wife PBS Dependant extension - best timing?

Dear all, I am due for ILR in April but my wife is not. She is currently a PBS dependant (Tier 1 General). 1) Is it possible for me to get a PEO appointment, get my ILR, and then for her to apply for PBS dependant visa extension? Or does she have to apply for FLR once I get my ILR? 2) Our visas expi...

Re: Evidence of Paid absences from UK

As she is currently a PBS dep then she should extend as a PBS dep (click) as you are applying for ILR as a PBS applicant under paragraph 319C (b) (iii) (1), and she will be eligible for ILR after 5 years as a PBS dep. Thanks Amber. I have a few questions after reading the form: 1) Do the £600 need ...

When did your spouse get leave as a PBS dep and when did she enter the UK.
Thanks for your reply Amber. My wife got her visa stamped on 10/10/12 and she entered the UK 12/11/12.

ILR and spouse

Dear all, I am currently on Tier 1 (General) visa and will be applying for ILR in April 2014. My first question is regarding evidence of absences from the UK. Thanks for the reply. As I've switched 3 employers in the past 5 years, it'd be abit hard for me to get letters but I do have employment contracts that state annual leave eligibility of 25 days.
Do you think that'll suffice along with bank statements & payslips?

ILR - Evidence of Annual Leave?

All my holidays were paid annual leave. Would my payslips suffice? The payslips don't separately mention holiday pay but the pay is the same as other months during which I haven't been on holiday.
Is that enough evidence?

ILR - unemployed at time of application

Hi, If I earn enough to fulfill my points requirement at the time of my initial Tier-1 application in the 12months prior to filing my ILR application, I know I'll get ILR. But if I am unemployed at the time of applying for ILR even though I've earned enough in the past 12 months, would that be an is...

Tier 1 (General) dependant - "travel by" date?

Hi,
I know people who get spouse visas sponsored by their British spouse have to travel by a certain date.. is there any such restriction for Tier 1 (General) dependants? Do they have to travel within 28 days of the visa being issued or can they travel whenever they want?

Thanks.

You have already said that this is not necessary and yet still intend to provide it. Therefore I don't understand why you are now looking to somehow reduce the burden of undertaking this completely voluntary measure. Let me restate. Would a tenancy agreement under my name for a single room prove in...
