How long did they say OCI to be issued? Could we just travel with the Indian Visa (which is valid for 1 year) to the UK and then apply OCI from the UK?

Thanks guys for the update. I was planning to apply the same and bit worried now :( . I guess u guys had to apply for OCI after getting BP?

The only query from my side.. Was it better for your wife to apply alone? Were u able to give your passport original or will VFS return your passport back as you need to travel back to work?

Correct. You need to have two separate applications. You could do in same day, but defer her application by 3-4 hours.
