name on electoral roll when ineligible

My flatmate mistakenly put my name on the electoral roll when I'm ineligible to register. Will this affect my citizenship application? Shall I just ring my council to remove my name from the list?

Naturilisation Questions

I currently have ILR and will be eligible for British citizenship in several months. I have been employed by the same company since I moved to the U.K. (I was on HSMP and Tier 1 General previously.) I would like to change employers soon. Is it safer to do so once I have British citizenship, or does ...

Sorry if this is a silly question.

My BRP was issued on 3/12/12, but my ILR in-person appointment was on 30/11/12. May I apply for BC from 30/11/13 or 3/12/13 and onwards?

additional documents to submit with application form

Is it common for applicants to submit additional documents such as clean criminal record and credit reports to support their application forms? Would you only be able to do so via the postal route, or would the NCS centers forward these reports along with your application form?

When will I be eligible to apply for British citizenship?

My Tier 1 (General) visa expired on 28/12/12. I applied for and was granted ILR on 30/11/12 (28 days before 28/12/12). When will I be eligible to apply for British citizenship? 30/11/13 or 28/12/13?

worst case scenario for British citizenship refusal

I am an ILR holder. What's the worst case scenario if my application is refused? Will this affect my ILR status? Will I just have to wait several years before I may reapply?

Yes, the U.S. allows dual citizenship, but if I don't plan to vote in the U.K., work for the government, or live elsewhere in Europe, then are there any advantages for me to apply for BC? What rights won't I have as an ILR holder as opposed to a British citizen?

benefits of British citizenship for American citizen

My South African colleague applied for British citizenship so that he could travel freely throughout Europe without obtaining visas. He also claimed benefits (child trust fund) while he had ILR status. I, on the other hand, am an American citizen with ILR status and can travel freely throughout Euro...

I just received my BRP. The courier just dropped the card through the letter box. He didn't even wait for me to open the door so that he could ask for my ID. So much for security! I'm so relieved that the stress is finally over.

ILR success at Solihull on 30/11/12

I was granted ILR at Solihull yesterday. I used my Visa debit card to pay the fee. I'd like to thank everyone who assisted me in the process. Here is my background. HSMP: 28/12/07 - 28/12/09 Tier 1 (General): 28/12/09 - 28/12/12 I was worried about a few things for my application. First, I entered t...
