Re: FLR (m) potential loss of job close to renewal

To add on to the above, I’ve taken a look at my partner’s work contract and it states he’s an hourly worker, and that: “Your normal working week will vary with the needs of the operation and will be an approximate average between 40 hours and 45 hours according to the weekly shift rota or other arra...

Re: FLR (m) potential loss of job close to renewal

Thanks, AmazonianX.

Is this still the case if he is non-salaried? He doesn't have a fixed yearly wage, and is paid per hours worked, and so each week varies in hours worked.

If not, then thank you, we will go with cat b with 12 months' financial evidence.

Re: FLR (m) potential loss of job close to renewal

Thanks, Korekt. Appreciate your response. I was wondering if it is still possible to apply under Cat A, with six months' payslips but with one month short, so it would be as follows - Nov - £2100 Dec - £2300 Jan - £1089 Feb - £1800 Mar - £1800 Apr - £1800 January pay is short due to work closure. Wo...

Re: FLR (m) potential loss of job close to renewal

It is not advisable that you apply before 01 June 2023 because you run the risk of having to make another FLR application to get the required 5 years before you get ILR. You can use payslips from different companies as long as they total 6 months and show adequate funds. Thank you so much for your ...

FLR (m) potential loss of job close to renewal

FLR (m) Hi all. Hoping someone can shed some light on our somewhat difficult situation. Partner came in Oct 2020. 30 months from then would be April 2023 which is the earliest we can apply (I believe, correct me if I’m wrong, thanks). BRP card expires 28th June 2023. Job situation: partner has been ...

Re: Document Checklist

I submitted the application yesterday on 03/08/2020. I uploaded the documents on the TLS website (which was great as I already had everything ready to submit and in PDF format) and checked it was OK. Biometric is tomorrow. I will come back in a few months (hopefully less) with an update. Just wanted...

Re: Document Checklist

Hi everybody
Sorry to be stupid
But I’m going to the bank tomorrow to get my final bank statement. Would it matter if I complete my application on the same day? Or should I wait one day so that the final bank statement is before the application submission date?

If that makes sense

Re: Document Checklist

Hi all Last minute overthinking here, but does it matter that my bank statements run from 03 February to 28th July. It’s not the full complete months, however, I have counted and double counted and triple counted 6 sets of payments going in. I’ve even included a short PDF document of where the payme...

Re: Document Checklist

You’re right. I’ve already paid £65 for a property inspection report and that’ll be done by the end of the week. I’ve asked the director to add on a little detail to the letter, and he’s provided me with this: So I think this, along with tenancy agreement and the property inspection report should b...

Re: Document Checklist

Do you think I should include screenshots of the local council of what it says on their website? Or completely avoid mentioning a HMO license in the visa application? Or do anything additional to support this application?

Re: Document Checklist

I’ve checked on my local council website and found this: The Council operates a Mandatory HMO licensing scheme. Most* landlords of HMOs that have five or more occupiers forming two or more households require a licence. This previously only applied to properties with three or more stories (including ...

Thank you, Covee, I’ve asked them to include that.

Thank you, Seagul, I’ve emailed my local council to find out as I don’t want to risk it.

:( this visa process is so unbelievably stressful.

Re: Document Checklist

I searched it and it says “If your property is let to five or more tenants then you’d need a HMO license” so I should be fine, I believe. Is this right??

Hello, I’m panicking!! I live in a 3 bedroom shared house. We all have our own ensuites. I was under the impression that the home needed to have a HMO license and that’s what the agency told me at the time before I moved in. Now I’ve asked for a NOC letter. This is what they have given me. Please se...

Re: Document Checklist

Hello, it’s me again :) I’ve asked TSB bank to send out my last 6 bank statements by post. They are identical to the online version, so I think this would be a problem, because I could have just printed them out. They have a line of numbers at the side of the page. I’ve asked them to send change my ...
