Re: Process after British passport if you have Indian passport

Yeah, you need to get surrender certificate first and then only able to apply for OCI for your child. Book appointment for surrender certificate, fill application for surrender certificate and once you receive it, follow similar process for OCI application. https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/page/surrende...

Re: OCI Minor Application- Birth Certificate

Not needed, they'll just take the original birth certificate along with other originals, etc. You'd have to upload a scanned copy online and also submit a photocopy of the full UK birth certificate.

Re: Asked to send Birth Certificate to different Passport Office

When I called helpline to ask about progress, they said kids applications could be assigned to two different people and/or different offices/locations.

It could be normal practice but just to be sure check with their helpline:

Difficult to answer without actually having the form in front. Any reason why you are filling paper form instead of online application?

Online application will probably ask the right questions based on your answers.

Can I use same email ID for kid's first British passport?

Hi Gurus, Just submitted my daughter's application and was wondering if I can use the same email ID or is it better to submit my son's application using another email? Re: How to identify the CoS is defined or Undefined?

Not sure if things have changed in the last few years, but apart from asking your employer there is probably no way to know. They should see it in the SMS system if it's defined or undefined.

Not sure about timelines, sorry. Someone else may be able to answer that.

Yeah, BRP is sufficient to prove your immigration status.

Sometimes same document can cover two or more requirements, so nothing to worry.

If you haven't applied for child's British passport then you could've used the grace period for your travel. Here's what I found in my research: https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/mn1-prep-work-queries-t308962-25.html#p2003342 The best option is to go for e-visa, but looks like it...
