Even though ur other documents already checked and scanned.Ur new documents go through same process to get scanned. Same happened to me Tried explaining to them so many times.But no luck. I got my passport 2 days after the new estimated due date.Sorry for ur case.thata how they work.

That's the usual process .Same for me. That means ur documents are scanned and in security check.But God knows how long these guys take to do that. Hope U ll have it soon.

2 weeks overdue is very unlikely for a normal application. Usually 2 or 3 days happens. Can you post your timeline? Is ur application First time adult applied from Ireland?

If it's overdue, Webchat usually says they will expedite the application and whether case worker is assigned

I believe all this delays by the DFA coming out of dearly beloved mentality of Simon coveney who is inefficient in handling passport applications. I guess Helen Mcentee will do better. she is the best person as she modernizes INIS in handling naturalization. Simon is the worst minister to handle DFA

U have to get the travel emergency email Id from the webchat citing the reason. and you have to send email with proof from hospital that he is getting treatment like MRI SCAN report or any other report .They may process it if it's valid.

Received my supporting documents today as I requested for it in the webchat. Looks like Once the documents are scanned , you can request for the supporting documents if you have genuine reason. It won't impact your passport application.

It has to be assigned to checker and after security check then only it will go to printing...Mine was pending check since last week.. I guess it will take easily 3 weeks from scanning.
