Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

I have been waiting since April 24, 2015 (I sent the form then, it was received on May 7) to get British Citizenship through UKM and I am still yet to hear anything. I haven't heard anything since I did my biometrics. I emailed the home office - it said they will take 20 business days to reply and n...

First British Passport and lack of referees.

Hello, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here I am. I will (hopefully) have British Citizenship soon and I will be moving (from Australia) to the UK. I wanted to apply for my passport once I am over there but I don't know anyone who is a professional (on the list of suitable refer...

Re: ILR Applications processing faster than others

Keep us posted on your progress. UKM from Australia applications are not that common! I am still waiting for the Biometric letter to arrive. Where did you go to get them done? Also did they say how long it takes for them to send it to the UK after you have had them done? Cheers Carrick I got my bio...

Re: ILR Applications processing faster than others

Hi - I am applying (from Australia) for BC through UKM and I sent my things away on April 24 (it arrived in the UK on May 7) - I am still waiting for approval (I've had the right of abode before). I didn't get to do my biometrics until August (the form they sent first had the wrong salutation on it)...

Re: UKM Application Fees

Hiya,
I am also registering as a British Citizen with UKM and the fees are actually only £80. I am not sure if they will adjust the amount on the slip though.
Perhaps you could call them?
Good luck.

Re: Quick, important question

I might call them and see. I tried to ring the one in Canberra today but they wanted a credit card to talk to someone. I asked the post office, but they had no clue. I was hoping someone from outside of the UK had done it already and could share how they got their things back. (But I will call the c...

Quick, important question

Hiya, I am applying for British Citizenship through my mum and I currently live in Australia. I've got all the paperwork ready to go but my question is - how do I send a self addressed envelope if I can't add British stamps to it? I am confused and worried as I don't want to lose any of our document...
