Re: FLR(M) 5 Years

They want to travel to Pakistan by 26 January. So they might book the paid appointment which can be in a day or two. On to the visa decision, I applied for my wife's visa on 1st Apr 2022 and she was granted the visa on 6th April 22. The same timeline was also for another friend of mine who was appli...

Re: FLR(M) 5 Years

She is applying for extension of FLR(M).

and she'll apply for ILR after 2.5 years. her current visa is from 27-07-2021 to 27-01-2024. if they apply now and get the visa in a week's time, they'll get another 2.5 years. So they will be short of lets say 20 days in five years.

The question he is asking if he applies now, and Home office issues the Visa in next 7 days for another 2.5...

Was your ILR application based on Long Residency or were you on your employer's sponsored work visa and you applied ILR on that basis?

Re: Received ceremony invitation, but no approval till now.

You normally get the invitation email on Mondays. I received my council email on Friday 25th Aug and got the home office atlas email on 4th Sep and the citizenship ceremony was on 27th Sep. So chances are if you haven't received the email today, wait till next Monday. Also, when I went for my ceremo...

Re: Documents missing of Child First British Passports

Thats the general understanding that items posted signed for next day will be updated on royal mail tracking straightaway.

Like CR001 mentioned, passport office receives a lot of documents in post.

Give it some time and do not rush.

Re: Documents missing of Child First British Passports

You'll need to get the duplicate birth certificate issued from the council where the child was born. I am not sure how much it costs or whats the process. If ILR card is lost, then your son needs to apply for the replacement card.

Re: Documents missing of Child First British Passports

Don't worry. I have been through the same process for my first British passport application. It took 9 days for royal mail to update the tracking.

Give it until Friday. It should be updated.

Re: Non paid bus ticket and naturalisation

I was once stopped on the London underground in 2013. I didn't tap in the Oyster card at one station as there were no barriers. The inspectors issued a fine of around £50. I paid that asap. I wasn't prosecuted as the person confirmed that he was not prosecuting and only issuing the fine. Since then ...

I also found that highly unlikely that they were fined. CR-001 stated the facts and it seemed impossible that they could be fined so soon.

Re: Sent passport and naturalisation certificate to HMPO- Royal Mail lost it

No. I am not sending it back as I have kids who got their British Citizenship after I received my ILR. So that's the only document for them to prove how they became British Citizens. That's the advice I was given on this forum. Off-course I won't use my BRP to travel. I'll only keep it for any futur...

Re: Sent passport and naturalisation certificate to HMPO- Royal Mail lost it

I personally wouldn't do that as yet (unless you are certain that they have lost it). The reason is, that if HMPO gets your certificate, then that won't be valid anymore as you would have applied to replace it. They may refuse your passport application and you'll end up spending more money. You'll a...

FLR(M) to ILR

Dear Gurus My wife and daughter (born in Pakistan) came to the UK in Feb 2016 when I had a Tier 2 Visa. - Their first visa was PBS-dependent from 09-02-2016 to 25-07-2019. (3 Years 5 Months) I then switched to ILR (LR 10 years). - We then applied FLR(M) for both which was valid form 17-09-2019 to 18...

The same Royal Mail issue with me. I posted my two passports (one expired and one valid) and naturalisation certificate on Monday via signed for the next day by 1 pm. Still says the package left the facility and today is Thursday with no updates on Royal Mail tracking. I have read the thread for the...

Re: FPN issues in 2021 - Good Charter

ILR Status does not expire (unless you are granted British Citizenship. In that case, your ILR is no longer valid). It's your card that is expiring. You can apply for the new one but the new one will also expire by 31 Dec 24 as the new online system will be implemented from Jan 25 to verify the stat...

Re: British application

No Need to sign your name/DOB to the back of your photo. Just stick it to the form, get them to sign it, scan and upload yourself. or if you have booked the scanning service at Sopra Steria, then take that there for them to scan.

Re: ILR - Wife & Child

Hi All, I am in the process of finding temporary work for two/three years overseas (probably Gulf). I have received my naturalisation certificate. The idea is that my family will remain in the UK and I'll relocate temporarily and return in two/to three years' time. Just to confirm, we are not divorc...
