yes its a valid draft and can be used... just wait for couple of days and you will see the charge being deducted from your account. AFAIK banks dont wait for draft to be en-chased to charge you.

you cannot convert your Tier 1(PSW) to Tier 1 (general) as the Tier 1(General) route is closed. only people with Tier 1(general) can extend their stay.

the letter that i had submitted just my accountant's name, body to which she was registered with (ACCA) name of the accountancy firm and stamp. if UKBA wants to confirm the registration they can contact the accountant and get details or even the body mentioned.

about your date question this will not be a problem. i had similar case and got my extension successfully. important thing is amount should match in pay slip, personal bank statement and company bank statement.
