Contradicting - Tier 2 General Extension query

I was granted Tier 2 General visa after April 2011, switched from PSW. I was reading about extension and there seems to be contradiction information about need of Resident labour for extension. 1. The tier 2 policy guidance says. For same job role, employer no resident labour is required.Point198 ht...

Yes, I did put it on the previous application and it was rejected based on wrong dates on the CoS. The sponsorship portal shows the old CoS as used.

I have decided to notify UKBA with my old CoS, don't want to give them a reason to reject my second application. Can I just confirm if this is the application form to do so ?

Please suggest.

Hi lucapooka

I have made the application with a new CoS. In my new Tier 2 application form I haven't entered the old CoS in section J2.

I was wondering if the above link to application is the way to notify UKBA about old CoS.

I have already made the application without the old CoS and didn't add any covering letter.

I just got the old CoS back,

What would you suggest me to do ? Is there a way I could notify UKBA about the old CoS ?

-sushdmehta Sorry but what is an OP ?

I have re read the guidance and it sates that the application has to be made 3 months within the start date of employment on CoS. I would recommend everyone to follow that.

Its now 2 weeks and my employer still hasn't been granted additional CoS.

I applied on 10 September 2011 and start date on my unrestricted CoS was 19 January 2012. I am on PSW right now expiring on 20 January 2012. You period of grant ...

I assume it was done within 24 hours because the CoS wasn't used and withdrawn instead. I could be wrong.

Wonder if its the same as requesting for a fresh CoS.

Additional CoS request query

My company was granted sponsorship and allowed to sponsor 1 employee in the first year. The CoS was generated and I used it for Tier 2 General application but it got rejected because the start date of employment on CoS was not within 3 months of date of application. Hence 1 CoS used. The employer ha...

-williamson321 - I think if you think that if particular SOC code is the closest match to your responsibilities & job description then it should be fine. 2132 for hardware engineer looks OK from the document you attached. The number of working hours has put me into doubt too as I will be generating ...

In short. Since the CoS wasn't valid because of wrong start date, the salary wasn't taken into consideration at all.

Hi Tier 2 visa,

My visa got rejected. May I ask how did your company request for an additional CoS ? Is it done through the portal ?

Could you please specify the steps. I will speak to my employer about the procedure to follow.

Eagerly waiting for your reply. Thanks in advance.
