Section 6 - Immigration History - Which date of first entry?

I am filling up the SET (O) form for ILR and I need to enter the following information ... 6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based I was on Student visa...

Working from off-site / remotely outside the UK

I am on Tier 1 general (extension) visa. I spent some time working off-site outside the UK which is over my annual leave entitlement. I got paid my normal UK salary in the UK bank account for this period. The total over time is about 15 days. I know that I can provide letter confirming a/l from my e...

Re: Counting absences from UK - Annual leave

No I have Tier 1 General currently. If you were working off-site/remotely, that ought not to count as leave. Would there be an issue/impact on application if I declare that period as a working off-site/remotely? Yes, I can get that in writing from my employer that I was working off-site. I have pays...

ILR - Does my spouse need to pass Life in the UK test too?

Hi I am due to apply for ILR very soon and I am booked for Life in the UK test. My wife is on dependent visa. Does she need to pass this test as well when I apply for ILR? I can see that SET (O) form has fields asking for if your partner has passed Life in the UK test or not. If she can't get it don...

Counting absences from UK - Annual leave

Hello I am entitled upto 28 days of annual leave. My employer doesn't mind if I take a long holiday and spend all these in one go. So I do go out of UK for a total of 44 continuous days. I used all of my annual leave during this period plus some extra holidays. Can you please check if my interpretat...

Re: New baby born - Do I need dependent visa for the baby?

Is the baby not dependent? and if the baby is dependent then don't I need to pay the fees while apply for ILR? OR Are you saying that I don't mention baby in the ILR application form? Sorry...

Do I need to get sponsorship letter notarised?

Hi

I am going to sponsor my mother to visit UK and I need to send a sponsorship letter. Do I need to get this sponsorship letter notarised? It is going to me cost approx. 40 pounds so I thought I ask if it is necessary.

Thanks
