Travelling for first time with British Passport. Use UK or Spanish passport?

Hi, I have now both passports and I'm going abroud for first time. I think the theory is the next: -Use British passport to enter and exit from the UK. -Use Spanish passport to enter and exit from Spain. -Use any to enter and exit from other countries. That's correct, right? But which passport shoul...

Passport received but documents missing after 3 weeks

Hi,

I've received my first British passport more than 3 weeks ago, but I've not heard anything about the supporting documents.

Is this normal? Whenever they send the documents, will I see the update on the Application history?

Thanks!

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Hi, does anyone know if councils commonly sends a letter with the citizenship invitation? or Home Office? Or everything is electronic (emails, etc) ? I might move soon, and I'm wondering if it's worthy the hassle to let know Home Office about that and/or the council too...Because if all communicatio...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

For applicants who applied after 11th Sep You will have to wait for UKVCAS to update the flash message. For now, the booking system is only open for applicants who applied up to 11th Sep. Note, majority times the booking system opens up even before an official update comes up OR an email is receive...

Hi, I guess we don't need to provide any photo on the UKVCAS appointment, isn't it?

By the way, are there anyone that submitted the application after the 11th, seen any available appointment? I'm wondering if UKVCAS open appointments on a daily basis or weekly? (For new people)

Thanks!

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

 Was that only a declaration and a a reason as to why you didn't have it or they also demanded that you provide evidence ? The lady verbally asked me if I was unemployed or a student anytime in the qualifying period (5 years) and required to have CSI and I said no. Then she started filling i...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Hello. FYI I just attended my biometrics appointment and I want to mention than they asked me to sign a declaration form that I didn’t require CSI for the last 5 years and the reason why. Not sure if this is something they did before. I applied via the EU settled status route. Was that only...

Hi, jpl thanks for your message! If Home Office rejected your E104, what kind of evidence did you provide them after the rejection? How big was/were your gap/s? Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Hi everyone, Just wanted to check in to provide another data point in case someone in a similar position to myself finds it useful. I applied for naturalisation just after the new rules on Settled Status and CSI were published. While I did have CSI for the relevant parts of my qualifying period, th...

Re: BC with settled status and 5 years as a worker: will they ask for CSI?

After 5 years of exercising treaty rights you achieve PR status and don't have to be exercising treaty rights anymore once that status has been achieved. You still don't know if the OP has exercised those treaty rights during the 5 qualifyng years for Settle Status. OP can't move the 5 qualifying y...

Re: BC with settled status and 5 years as a worker: will they ask for CSI?

''In other words, you must have started to work a little bit before 2015.'' This is inaccurate. I am not referring to OPs situation here but just in general : It's not about 'working', 'not working'; being employed or etc. It's about exercising treaty rights within the meaning of the relevant direc...

Re: BC with settled status and 5 years as a worker: will they ask for CSI?

From what I've read so far, yes, they will ask you for CSI unless they exercise discretion if you don't have or you can't provide proof. If you try to do the online application, there is no way to actually avoid the question/issue. I have a similar issue, I have a gap at the start of my 5 qualifying...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Re. PR card requirement for naturalisation: the requirement to have a document certifying permanent residence has been in place since 2015, and had to be held one year (just like ILR & Settled Status) from acquiring PR (except if PR was acquired more than five years before application then could be...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

It's also here unfortunately... https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-eea If you or a family member are from the EU, EEA or Switzerland, you usually get ‘permanent residence’ status automatically after living in the UK for 5 years. You need a permanent residence document that proves your status befor...

More about question 5. https://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-route-applications/eu-national-applying-for-uk-permanent-residence-t212027-20.html Don't worry about previous gaps. This is not a visa. Previous non-qualifying periods are just disregarded because they don''t contribute towards PR. There i...

Apply to Permanent Residence having Settle Status (CSI Issues for BC)

Hi, I wanted to apply for British Citizenship (Naturalisation) but after an update on the guide on May to require CSI, I'm thinking on alternatives. I've got 3 months without CSI from a period of 8 months that I've not been working, at the beginning of the 5 years qualifying period prior my settle s...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

So happy now. after 6 years of anguish, I just got an email from the home office 2 min ago saying that my BC application was successful. My case was complicated as I haven't exercised treaty right. I doubted they would granted to me, I wrongly prejudge them and I apologise for it. Now I am 100% sur...

I must be wrong but I don't get it 😅 It doesn’t say 3 or 5 years for the Settled Status period it says ‘quote for the relevant 3 or 5 year qualifying period .... of British Citizenship, or is it not Let's make some quotes directly from the Guide (Page 27): However, this grant of settled status (als...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

So I understand 'prior to Settled Status' means in the 5 years time of the qualifying period for British Citizenship which I understand is from the date of British Citizenship application backwards, is it not? If you're referring to page 26 of the new guidance which instructs the caseworker to " as...

Hello 2 months gap is not much and won’t be a problem. We are taking more of a 6 month gap where there should be requirement for CSI. Those 6 months come from your past experience, someone else experience read on forums or did you read it on any guide? It would be really useful to know it so I can ...
