Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

My ILR card has an expiry year of 2024. Should I specify Oct 2022 or Oct 2024? You specify an expiry date 3 years ahead from the date of application. If you apply today, you state the expiry date as x august 2022. If I can specify any year until when I want a visa, can I specify Oct 2020 in that ca...

Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

I filled in the application form and all went ok until I went to the IHS (immigration health surcharge) page to pay the fee. This page asks for the expiry and visa type of the main applicant - it does not have ILR option in the list and expiry for ILR?. I am stuck on what to specify and pay here, a...

Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

There is no '6 year cap' for tier 2 dependents. The cap ONLY applies to Tier 2 main visa holders and as you hold ILR, it is no longer relevant. Your dependent will get a 3 year extension, regardless of how long is needed to qualify for ILR. Visa fee plus £1200 IHS is payable. I think I need some gu...

Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

I am stumped and stuck while applying the PBS dependent visa extension for my wife. I was on Tier2 general Visa and got my ILR about an year ago. As my wife still hasn't been on the PBS partner visa for 5 years, she is not yet eligible to apply for ILR and I will have to renew her PBS partner visa. ...

Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

There Schengen visa rules have not changed. They require evidence of 90 up 180 days (depending on country) of leave to remain in the UK. There no requirement in returning to the UK to have x amount of visa validity , which is the point I had made as you had not stated where you planned on holidayin...

Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

1. As you will get a 3 year extension, you should be fine to apply now. 2. You are free to travel and re-enter the UK as long as you have a valid visa. There is no requirement to have X amount of months left on it. 1. This is the second extension. So, we only expect another 1.5 years to be given. (...

Re: Tier2 general partner renewal

1. You can apply when you meet the requirements, ie maintenance funds for 90 days etc. 2. You can't travel while an application is pending with ho if that is your question. Either travel before you apply for an extension or apply and travel after you receive the extension and brp. 1. I think we hav...

Tier2 general partner renewal

Hi All, I have to renew my partner's tier2 general PBS dependent visa. The current visa expires on 30th September. In this regard I have 2 questions, 1. What is the earliest date on which I can submit the extension application? (Can I do it 2 months before its expiry?). 2. Can we travel outside the ...

Re: MN1 application for child born in UK

Hi, I have applied for registration of my child as British born in UK via the MN1 form. I have paid, submitted the application and attended the biometrics at sopra steria on 18-March-2019. It has been over 10 weeks since that date and I am starting to worry about the application, as I did not hear ...

Re: MN1 application for child born in UK

Applied in Croydon on 24th April and is about 2 months now. Worried as to why some people have got it a lot earlier as this should be fairly straightforward. We got travel plans in another 30 days and my baby doesn't have a visa to return.. Confused.. :( :( :( Mine is straight forward too. It has b...

Re: MN1 application for child born in UK

I applied for my 2 children end of January, still waiting, don’t know what they are checking for uk born kids, where people are getting naturalisation decisions within 2 months. I have also known several people who applied for registration of child under 18 and got the certificate in 2 months. This...

Re: MN1 application for child born in UK

It can take up to 6 months. You won't get an update until 6 months is reached or passed. Why do believe you can't travel?? If the child has a valid visa they are free to travel. I remembering reading somewhere that it is not recommended to travel while the registration application is in progress. T...

Re: Child benefit and 30 hours child care for 3-4 year old

An additional doubt, The child benefit form asks for both partners details. So, I am not sure if it is as if we both are claiming together OR its like I am claiming alone. If you are allowed to have UK benefits, put the Child benefit in your name only. Child Benefit is a Public Fund and it will be ...

She is currently out of UK for 4 months from 1 Nov 17 until now, and plans to stay until end of June 18. [For reference, If stays until june, her continuous period between De...

ILR eligibility for TIER2 (General) dependant partner

Background: I am on Tier2 General visa from 30 Oct 2013, renewed in Oct 2016 for further 3 years. (total 6 years) My Wife got her Tier 2 Dep...
