Tier 1 to Long Residence Question

Hello. I will soon be coming up to my 10 year anniversary in the UK, and I plan to apply for long residence. I am currently on a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa, having received my extension at the beginning of this year. My question is, are the people evaluating long residence going to scrutinise what I h...

Long residence ILR

Hi. Regarding this topic, I will be eligible for 10 years Long Residence, less than a full year after I received my Tier 1 Extension. Am I still eligible to apply when I reach 10 years, even if it hasn't been a full year of employment time for my employees, post extension? Is the mandate simply that...

Re: Bank Accounts for Extension Application

Hi Marcnath. Well as an example, in the documents checklist that I got from the Home Office, one of the items on the list is :' Business bank accounts (which you are a signatory of) showing transactions.' So does that mean we need to include all the bank statements for our business account? Regardin...

Bank Accounts for Extension Application

Hi - with our extension application, are we supposed to include all our business bank statements showing every transaction we've made - or is it simply a matter of singling out transactions related to the 200k investment? Thanks a lot.

Late Documents Question

Hello, is it true that you don't necessarily need to submit all your documents on the date of your online application? If so, is it simply a matter of booking your biometrics appointment and submitting them at that time? Thanks

Biz Plan Extension Question

Do most people applying for an extension re-submit an updated business plan, or simply relay how they have/haven't been sticking to the original plan? Are we to presume that even if we don't re-submit the original plan, they will have it in their records and be checking against it?

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

Umer, this is not clear.

To me the implication is that if your employees on furlough were receiving 80 percent of their pay - period, regardless of who was paying them, they can be counted towards the 12 months.

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

Hello Cullinan, or anyone else who may know the answer, where does it say 'Time when their employees were furloughed under the UK Government scheme will count towards the 12 month period if they have been paid at least 80% of their normal salary' ? I noticed pages 23 and 40 on the guidance that was ...

TIER 1 TO 10 year Long Residence

Hello - if I reach ten years of lawful stay in the UK before it comes time to renew my Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa for the first time - do I still have to prove I have met the requirements of Tier 1, or does it not matter, since I have been lawfully in the UK that entire time and can just apply for lon...

Re: Job Support Scheme

Zimba, that has nothing to do with it, I am not expecting anything. I need to understand how many months my visa is going to be extended sdue to furlough and potentially any subequent schemes - so that i can meet the 1 year employment requirements.

Thanks Zimba, is there any way to find out that you know of? Surely this issue will affect the majority of Tier 1 holders

Job Support Scheme

Hello, does anyone here know how Tier 1 holders are affected by the post-furlough Job Support Scheme beginning in November? It seems to involve partially subsidised part time work for our employees - but can we participate? And if so, is it the same as with furlough where this will not count against...

Re: Tier 1 entrepreneur ILR route employment and furlough

I am confused about something - since he has already extended his visa, won't he be eligible for ILR before he has to meet any more requirements for the Tier 1 visa?

200K query

Hello, I am wondering if someone can clarify the following for me: Is it true that the 200k does not specifically have to be 'spent' - as long as it has been transferred to the business via Director's Loan? In other words, when it comes time to renew my visa, let's say 200k has been transferred to t...

Re: *** COVID19 Tier 1E impact and Government support *** Discuss here ONLY

Marcnath, I have done some research and apparently employment law dictates that if 80% of pay takes an employee below minimum wage, this is fine. The only question is whether that rule still applies in terms of the visa.

Re: *** COVID19 Tier 1E impact and Government support *** Discuss here ONLY

Hi guys, thanks for the info. Something I’m still unclear on having read previous posts - if we are furloughing employers, can the 80 percent pay we give them fall below the normal minimum wage? Since these months are not being counted towards the 12 month total, it seems like a furloughed employee ...

Re: *** COVID19 Tier 1E impact and Government support *** Discuss here ONLY

Thanks guys, I guess I just wanted to make sure that the months where employees were being furloughed would not be 'discounted' towards ILR - almost as if they didn't happen. But it sounds like you are saying that for Long Residence ILR, as long a I had a continuous 10 years legal stay etc - it will...

Re: *** COVID19 Tier 1E impact and Government support *** Discuss here ONLY

I understand we can furlough employees, and that these months will not count towards the 12 month total required; I also understand they will extend our visas so that we may finish the 12 months required. However, I am still wondering: how will these 'lost months' where we have furloughed our employ...
